@kingfakey and I were talking about this and we got this whole theory about mermaids and shiny things and long hair. it's just like birds, where collecting shiny things and building pretty nests means stability and resources. like literally look at this stuff, isn't it neat? wouldn't you think i'd make sweet mer-spouse??? and some fish do it too so it's perfect. oh and vikings too!! having long hair and maintaining it is a symbol of good health and the resources to take care of it. so yeah. mermaids are just the bird vikings of the sea . . . @robertpancakes
Ever since I started this new blog earlier this spring I’ve been feeling like I’m really hitting my stride. I love my posts more than I did on my old blog, I feel more creatively challenged, and I feel more confident about what I post! I know it’s in part because I’ve grown a lot as an artist in 8 months, and that my posts have switched to something I’m more familiar with. But!
The reason I feel supported in what I do is because of the wonderful people who follow me and interact with my work. You leave fabulous comments, likes, asks, and reblogs! I always want to reply to your sweet, funny, and cheeky comments on my work, but I’m hecking awkward and never know what to say, so know this; I read all of them and I love them! Thank you!
Every time my long time followers like my work I’m delighted to see them pop-up in my notifs. Even though many of us don’t talk, you feel like friends cause you’ve been here for ALL of this! And when I see new followers like my work I’m delighted to see that you’re actually following what I do and enjoying it! Thank you!
This is probably a touch overboard, but that’s my calling card at this point, and I wanted to let you all know I think you’re all pretty awesome :D
