(I know you said one book but I read too much so...)The chicagoland vampires series by Chloe Neill are really good (but are graphic) same for the grave series by Kalayna Price also the hollows series by Kim Harrison. Splintered by A. G. Howard, Shadows on the moon by Zoe Marriott (this one does have self harm though), Shadows by Robin McKinley, A breath of frost by Alyxandra Harvey and Fairest by Gail Carson Levine (I'll stop there)

Let me see... holy crap I don't know any of this books. I've heard of Kim Harrison's work before, I think I'd buy Chicagoland Vampires in ebooks because I'm cutting back on new series now and that seems like a really long series, oh! I've want to read Splintered before! It sounded awesome! Also gorgeous cover. And A Breath of Frost seems interesting, I've been wanting to read more about witches!
