There’s a dampness to the air that actually feels like spring and before Meryasek, such a thing almost annoyed him. Now it was almost a little comforting and considering the meadow was one of the few places he could go to seek such a thing, it was much appreciated. It’s an ideal place, but not one that is always empty, that’s part of the appeal. Close enough to the Otherworld where he could leave if he needed to, but mortals were sometimes around. It made things interesting and after mornings….
Or afternoons.
Or evenings.
Of everyone pulling him this way and that way or telling him this or that, Farenduil is borderline desperate for some interaction that’s not with a member of the court. Or to simply do nothing at all aside from lay in the grass with one of those trashy mortal romance novels. But as he comes upon the meadow, just out of the trees, the tall grass around actually wilting somewhat at his mere presence, he pauses. A woman is already in the area, blonde and bright eyed and focused on the book in her hand. It’s not completely uncommon, but she feels different in a way that’s unfamiliar and yet…He knows what it means deep down. Clearing his throat as just a gentle way of alerting her she wasn’t alone now, he stepped into the actual field. “Sorry, allergies.” The smile he offers her is soft and as much as he’d like to just tuck away near his favorite oak and read, she had been there first. “Do you mind?” Farenduil fishes his own book out of the bag slung over his shoulder. “Promise not to be a bother.” @emmaxmicah
