✨ 10 People I’d Like to Know Better ✨

Thanks for the tag @the-samsquantch!! This was such a blast to put together.

🖋️ Last song: Dark Sanctuary by Toby Fox from Chapter 4 of Deltarune! It's kinda spooky and wistful which is a genre I absolutely adore. Deltarune is a video game created by Toby Fox that's a sister game to the more well known Undertale and is being released in chapters - Chapter 5 comes out later this month and I have yet to finish Chapter 4. I started playing it again this week and have been obsessed with this song!! Highly recommend to play in the background while you're doing work or something (I absolutely LOVE listening to video game music while working - listening to it on repeat as we speak!).

🖋️ Current obsession: I'm really getting back into My Hero Academia! It ended back in 2025 and my brother and I finished it during Christmas last year. I've slowly but surely been rewatching it from the beginning and am on season 6 out of 8 (season 4 is my fave!). It's such an amazing show, full of heart and inspiration and incredible voice acting!! Deku my beloved!!! Also Justin Briner (Deku's English VA) is hilarious.

🖋️ Currently reading: Prince of Song and Sea by Linsey Miller - it's a YA fantasy of The Little Mermaid from Eric's POV. Apparently he's been cursed to die if he kisses anyone other than his true love. I'm only a hundred pages in and it's FINE, it feels like how I write fanfic where I incorporate real lines from the source material but make it fit into my new narrative. Nothing wrong with that, but it's interesting! I love The Little Mermaid and Eric so I was really interested in it! I'm also trying to use it to inspire me to write more about my siren OC, Birdie. I'm enjoying it so far and eager to find time to keep reading!

🖋️ Currently working on: I am REALLY trying to finish part 9 of my Astarion x Reader fic, Beauty and the Bard, but I'm struggling to find motivation. Tale as old as time! I have most of it written, just gotta finish the conflict and add some spice. Thanks to everyone for being patient with me!!

I'm also participating in what my roommate is calling "D&D Summer" where we're playing one shots every weekend starting in July and running through August, and I'm going to DM two sessions! I've never DM'd before so I gotta prep that. One is going to be loosely based on The Selection series by Kiera Cass (although in concept only, I'm not taking any of the characters or lore etc etc), and then the other is going to be inspired by the new Masters of the Universe movie (GO SEE IT IF YOU HAVEN'T!!!) because I wanna play a Big Bad that's essentially Skeletor lmao 😂

Conversely, that also means I have to create a bunch of new characters for the other one shots I'm participating in that I'm NOT DMing. Lots to do and create!!

🖋️ Currently wearing: Ducktales 2017 crewneck, North Face jacket (it's cold in my office!), leggings, Elmo socks, and sneakers my younger cousin didn't want but fit me perfectly lol. I got a compliment on my Ducktales crewneck which was nice 🥰 I miss that show!!!

🖋️ Last Search: Lmao apparently it was "Deadpool Cast" - my sister and I were playing Fortnite last night and she was playing as Colossus but neither of us could remember his name. I was playing as He-Man. If you even care (Our theme was Big Beefy Men).

🖋️ Favorite flower: Because of Beauty and the Beast, I usually say roses. Which is true! But recently I've really resonated with Forget-Me-Nots. I have a bad memory, which is something I really struggle with, so Forget-Me-Nots feel significant to me in a weird way. Is it purely because of the name? Maybe! But they're so delicate and pretty, I can't help but love them. They'd make a gorgeous tattoo as well but I'm a wimp and scared of getting tattoos lol.

I haven't been tagged recently, but as a reward for me finishing part 9 of Beauty and the Bard (the betas are on the case!), I decided to post the TINIEST blurb from the finished piece without spoiling what happens 😈

You turned to look at him with concern. “You must have thought I was upset with you.” Astarion laughed. “I did. I was prepared to grovel.” “Oh, were you?” you asked, lifting a mischievous eyebrow.  The vampire caught your eye. “What is it, you cheeky thing?” “Show me.” Astarion blinked. “Show you-?” You bumped your nose against his jaw. “You were prepared to grovel. So grovel.”

HEHEHEHEHEH!!!! I'm so excited to finally share this part with you all! Thank you so much for waiting, I hope it makes you smile :)

How I See Myself ✨

I wasn't sure entirely what the rules were, I suppose just finding nine aesthetic photos that appeal to my inner self, which I had a lot of fun with! It's so easy to fall into negative self image, but this was a wonderful exercise in finding what makes me, me :)

This was so fun! Theres so much more I wish I could add but I think this is a good start <3

Hi folks!! Thank you so much for being patient with me, I'm trying to write more in the new year and already have a few pages of part 9 of Beauty and the Bard written! Here's a snippet of that:

As the two of you walked through the booths, a familiar song made Astarion’s ear perk up. “Hear that, darling?” he asked, grabbing your hand and making you flinch ever so slightly.  “I don’t hear much of anything except shouting children and obnoxious carnies,” you tilted your head, attempting to listen for whatever Astarion had in mind.  “No, my love. It’s Bard Song.” Not far off, a group of circus-goers were gathered around a band of performers, each playing a part of the song you played so often around camp. “So?” you asked. “So?!” Astarion asked incredulously. “You’ve got a lute on your back and play that song nearly as much as you talk! Don’t you want to join them?” “Since when do you care for music?” you narrowed your eyes at the vampire.  “Since the love of my life finds it so endearing,” he said, meeting your eyes and refusing to look away.  You sniffed and looked down your nose at him. “'Love,' you say?” “Yes,” Astarion crossed his arms. “It was kind of a big deal for me when I confessed that to you. Don’t you remember?” “Of course I do,” you answered a little too quickly. “Who could forget something that…” you searched your mind for the right word. “Romantic,” you settled on, sounding insincere.  You walked ahead, leaving Astarion to watch you go. He shook his head, bringing himself back into the present and swiftly caught up with you.  The two of you continued on, meandering in silence, barring an interaction with a stone mephit whose wife nearly insisted on sculpting Astarion’s form naked.  “Maybe next time,” he declined gently.  “Who would want something like that,” you said quietly as you departed.  Astarion smirked. “Don’t want a stone depiction of me in all my naked glory, beloved? Not even on those lonely nights where I’m torn away with other responsibilities?” You scowled then relaxed your features, but Astarion clocked it regardless. “Maybe at the next circus.” Astarion sighed. “Not even going to point out that I don’t have other responsibilities?” “I don’t need to know what you’re up to all the time,” you said, examining trinkets on a table watched closely by a kobald in a top hat.

Uh oh! You're acting WEIRD and Astarion's going to get to the bottom of it! Featuring the Circus of the Last Days!!! I'm excited to keep writing!!! Thanks again for your patience as I reacquaint myself with my love for writing <3

You know guys, I really started writing part 9 of Beauty and the Bard thinking it was going to be a lot like Worth the Peril, but as I was writing, something insane has come out instead and I hope you all like it because it's bringing me joy to write 🥰

And it GOES A LITTLE SOMETHING.......... LIKE THIS:

Fustian adjusted her posture, startled. “She’s on her way.” Hivune stood, throwing his hand of cards across the floor and shoving what was left of the draw pile into his mouth. “What-” you started, but suddenly Orin burst into the room in a cloud of red ash. A Reaper of Bhaal from the level above the dais raised his voice and began to announce: “Her most vile excellency, the blood wench of the Gate, harbinger of death, mutilation and despair, daughter of shadows and violence, soaked in misery-” “ENOUGH!” Orin roared, her face the angriest you’d ever seen it. And she was headed right for you. “You!” Her hot breath fanned out across your face. “Hello,” you smiled, not sure how to react. Her eyes narrowed. “Why must you be so…” “Loud?” Fustian supplied. “Weak?!” Another Reaper from the top of the stairs called. “Kngd uhf pweshnt wonf oo ge doo nuh huh?” asked Hivune. Orin turned to look at him.  He spat the crumpled playing cards out of his mouth. “New form of torture we’re working on,” Fustian explained. Hivune cleared his throat. “I said, ‘Kind of pleasant once you get to know her?’” There was a beat of silence before he sighed and said “I’ll see myself off to the blood pits.” “Yeah, off to the blood pits with you,” Fustian nodded. “Make sure you really inhale the blood,” Orin said, turning back to you as Hivune gave a thumbs up. 

I just think the murder disciples should be fun! ANYWAY!
