The meeting had long been over and Nick rushed outside. The grief counseling that he still attended, years after his friend’s death, affected him more than he would ever let on. He still felt a gaping hole every time he thought back to his friend, memories rushing through him and flooding his brain. The man would never let on that he was sad or that he had any sort of darkness in his past. Nick was trying to rid himself of the tears and bad memories, his rough body rushing out the door. As he practically ran out, his body bumped into another’s. His eyes ran over her body, eyes scanning her as he recognized her. “Oh, I’m sorry, fuck I didn’t mean to hit you.”
