“I guess that was the objective of the old war.”  He knew only little about the days before the old war - it was never something the Raiders nor the Gunners ever felt necessary to entertain, among other things. His curiosity was peaked, especially after Emmreth had unintentionally opened his eyes to their world’s history. 

“Considering the past, do you think it will? End, I mean- the hate and bloodshed?” And for that matter, could he end it for himself?

“Ya look a little lost there, sweetheart.”  Firearm drawn at his side, what was very obviously a Gunner stared down at the female from a hazardous tower of stacked, rusted out cars. Despite wearing a kind expression, the angular face tattoos and the stance of a man too comfortable himself likely suggested a much less inviting presence. 

“Need some help?”

                    James had slowed when he noticed the blonde trekking along behind him. There was no sense in making the guards open Diamond City’s gate twice, if he could help it. He leaned against the heavy, metal gate, only pushing himself away from it once she’d caught up. Without a word, he approached the intercom and asked the guard to open up. As he waited for it to lift, he shot a glance at the woman, noting that she seemed like she was hefting around a fair amount of . . . well, what looked to be junk.

                  ❝ Need any help with that? ❞ he offered, one eyebrow raised curiously.  ❝ It looks a bit heavy. ❞
