I’ve been rereading and catching up on Dangerous Liaisons by @emmysrandomthoughts and had the desire to create something for it. It’s not great (as I’m not great at photoshop) but I didn’t want to do a mood board when I’m not caught up and I couldn’t apparently wait. Instead I made this.

Story starter
Her lip was pinched between her teeth out of nerves but to him, she was sultry and coy. Her posture on the bed purposefully pushed her shoulders back and her breasts forward to display her modest offerings in a more enticing way. He didn’t need her tricks. He saw her, all of her. He estimated her dimensions on their first date and had been recalculating and verifying bit by bit ever since.
Had the cards fallen right, he wouldn’t have waited so long. But circumstance and miscommunication had him breaking his three date rule. Where other girls had been ghosted, something in her smile bought her an extension. And butterflies he thought banished were threatening his solid game.
She could not be left disappointed. She knew too much and yet, was still there. He cared too much, but he didn’t run. And that scared him almost into flight.
First thing’s first, he needed her to drop her act and relax or his own anxiety might boil over. Rather than pounce and accelerate, he caressed, kissed, and plied each knot in her shoulder with nimble fingers. He didn’t want fast, just thorough. He was done with shallow and instead was sinking towards the unexplored depths in a territory he dare not name. @emmysrandomthoughts

To completely overshare.... We usually alternate who’s responsible every night (since critter rejected the boob, anyways). And because I’ve had the critter for the last 5 days unassisted and will have him Thursday-Saturday unassisted, my husband insisted on being on-duty tonight and tomorrow night. Which means: bathing, reading, pajamas, TV time, making lunches, getting up at night (yep, still not sleeping through), and getting up with him in the morning if he rises before the alarms. So while I was at the gas station getting milk because my dear boy is sometimes a little bit of a moron, he was solidly putting in the work to get the babe to bed.
Is it annoying, yes. Do I really have room to complain? Not really. Does that stop me? Probably should.

17. Oh boy... I have WIP that I stamped out for NaNoWriMo for the Red Queen series and I’m overhauling into 3rd person tight POV. It’s basically, Clara helping her ailing nanny (an old Scarlet Guard comrade of her mother’s) on one final mission to find a healer that can remedy her illness or be buried in Norta.
For Divergent: There’s an episode of This American Life called The House on Loon Lake (ep. 199), which sort of inspired an idea that I fiddle with from time to time. Tobias and his friends are out hiking when someone gets injured in a stupid stunt and they have to break into an old house for the night. Of course, they aren’t the first ones in so they feel a little free-er to poke around in the left behind effects. And Tobias, who’s been fostered by the Pedrads since he was found abandoned in a diner, finds a binder of clippings from his local news paper, all clippings about him up until age 8. When he won the spelling bee. His class picture from a volunteer day. The honor roll with his name starred.

Well, disapointing to you, it’s a red wine. A California bled: Menage Trois. It has a nice balance of fruity and earthy elements without the heavy oak flavor of a Cabernet.
