Mystery of Moose code part 4

As the first wave attacks, Gertie sounds the alarm, and Kellie and the crewmen take their battle stations. Lasers are flying all over and the ships are crashing down. Kellie yells to Herbie that she needs more cannon fuel, but Herbie cannot be found anywhere. Kellie jumps from her cannon and while dodging the laser beams, she gets to the fuel canisters. From the corner of her eye, she sees DOODYDOO running away and Herbie holding a piece of paper in his mouth. Kellie draws her pistol and lowers it on DOODYDOO when all of a sudden, Herbie comes bouncing up and knocks it out of her hands. Kellie is shocked and looks down at Herbie who is running back and forth and barking. Kellie asks, “What is wrong Herbie?” He grabs the paper and hands it to Kellie. It is a page from a book. Kellie looks for a minute but realizes that she must get back to her gun. “Herbie, grab some canisters and refuel the team. We will talk about this later.”

 Just then, Kellie sees a bear grab two eggs and run towards an awaiting ship. “Oh no! Not in my house!!” she screams and pulls her other pistol out from its holster. Kellie and Herbie get tangled up in a ground firefight with a company of polar bears. Lasers are being fired left and right and toxic candy bars are being tossed by the polar bears. Kellie and Herbie are perplexed by the candy bars but steer clear since they are clearly marked toxic.

Two of the bears flee towards the ship with armfuls of eggs. Kellie and Herbie fight their way towards the ship, shooting and ducking as they go. The ship takes off and the gang relaxes while counting their losses. They then transport all frozen bears to the holding area.

 The gang has fought gallantly but, in the fight, they lost twenty-five eggs, two laser cannons, and two bales of hay. However, they also gained twenty-two Dabaloonies. Herbie has found another piece of paper and barks frantically to get Kellie’s attention. Kellie takes the paper and examines it.

                                                                                                       How strange, she thinks, this looks a lot like the other picture Herbie found.

                                                               Kellie understands that these are important clues and that Herbie has somehow become a communication beacon for the polar bears. She puts the pages in her pocket and continues to ponder while she helps clean up the mess from the battle.

 “I don’t understand why they keep stealing my eggs. It makes no sense. They got their friend back. Why do they keep coming for my eggs?”

Herbie frantically tries to communicate using Cheemoki sign language but unfortunately, no one understands. He breathes slowly and then jumps out of Kellie’s hands and runs towards a globe. He starts to bark furiously and touches his nose on the globe to point out a few places. Kellie runs to his side and watches him. “I think he wants us to visit these places. The first one is in a town not far from here called Eastborough. Grab your truck, Calvin! We are going to see what we can find.”

Calvin says, “Great! I can load this week's eggs and drop them off on the way.” He hands Kellie 100,000 Monkey Dollars and collects all the eggs for transport.
