Just realized something; you know how Edelstans will say that so-and-so suffered because of their Crest/Crest family? And that's why Edelgard HAD to go to war? Isn't it the case that the overwhelming majority of Fodlan... DON'T have Crests? Or are otherwise unrelated to them? And it's not even a universal truth that everyone with a Crests suffers any trouble at all because of them. So according to these people, Edelgard is declaring war on behalf of a fraction of a fraction of Fodlan's populace - most of whom are otherwise SUPER privileged.
Glad to know that Edelgard's making all these people suffer because some of the 1% suffer in ways no one else ever will 😭
