Some empties! People love the empties, and I’ve been slacking on posting them, so here we are. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I finished My favourite Murad sunscreen. It’s mineral but doesn’t leave a white cast on my skin. I’m happy to say that there are quite a few mineral sunscreens at Sephora that are sheer and look normal on brown skin. Yay. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Boscia Purifying Cleansing Gel. I love this cleanser, it’s foaming and smells like a spa. I wish it came in a huge size. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Belif Aqua Bomb Cleansing Balm. Loved this. It melts into an oil, and then melts your makeup. This was a mini sample size, but it was enough to use for a week and I’d give it 10/10. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Chanv hemp ointment. Used it all over. Greasy but my hands loved it. Also smells so good, there’s so much lavender in here and I’m digging it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Alya vitamin C serum. A pass for me. I didn’t feel like it was strong enough as a vitamin C and I really just used it for hydration. #empties recently. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The MooGoo Protein Shot Hair Cream that I love. It leaves my hair so soft and I’m definitely going to restock. It felt conditioning too. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Cleanser. Didn’t foam so was legitimately gentle on skin. I used this more in the morning because it wasn’t heavy enough for night time on its own. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Belif Aqua Bomb hydrating toner. Omg this smelled SO nice - refreshingly herbal. I really enjoyed it, but this little size gave me just a few uses. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Ellie Pumpkin Enzyme Peel. I got this in the fall and I used it just once in a while. My skin was always a little tingly when I used it so the acids were working. The nice thing about a peel mask is you can customize the effect by how long you keep it on your skin. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Nars Lip Gloss in Coeur Sucre. I’m running low on lip balm. This was a pretty candy pink that was semi-sheer and I loved it. I find these to be slightly sticky but really moisturizing so I do like them. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Old Gosh Forever Lip Shine. This is from ages ago, and I found it an old purse. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Givenchy Lip Glow. One of those glosses that changed colour on your lips. It killed me to throw away this Lux packaging. The lip balm costs $45 and comes in many colours. I just saw it at Sephora. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Skin Proud Recharge Serum. This has 1.5% retinol in it and also was more of an oil serum. It was one of the more moisturizing serums I’ve tried. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Murad Eye Masks. It was good, but more because I felt refreshed not because I felt that I looked different. I’m still on the eye mask train though. Things I finished and I loved: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Finished my Latisse. I need more. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @muradskincare Retinol. LOVED this, it’s moisturizing and creamy, the pump jar packaging is great and I adore that the scent reminds me of my favourite Gloasier hand cream (neroli in there). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @keratinworks purple hair mask. This one was ok. You know that I’m a HUGE fan of the styling products from this line but the mask isn’t as purple as I like. The Amika purple hair mask is REALLY purple and I like that way better. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Some lippies that were around and I’m done with. One from Nars (old formula, so sticky!), Quo, and Burt’s Bees. I’m not liking flavored sweet balms right now because I feel like I’m eating them and they leave my lips dryer than before. Things I finished! Didn’t go through much this week, and I definitely forgot to do a mask even though I’m trying to use them all up. I started Tret this week and I’m done my last tube of Differin. They’re both retinoids but work differently, and the Tretinoin is immediately stronger. Both are prescription only in Canada. Finished my bottle of @keratinworks BB cream and I have a backup. I LOVE this because it makes my hair so smooth and shiny but doesn’t weigh it down. 10/10 for me. I’m actually wanting to get a @keratinworks treatment, hoping to get rid of frizz. @aveenoca Restorative Skin Therapy body wash. Adore this stuff too. It was very gentle. Made it another week if this panini. It’s winter here, so the empties of body lotion seem fitting. If I don’t stay on top of moisturizing, I’m prone to random patches of eczema. It’s been a decade since that happened, but I’m not letting it happen again. Finished a @hnyskincare Body Balm. I posted about this early in the year and it made my best of 2021 list. It’s a small skincare brand out of Ontario and their products have beeswax in them. The body balm smelled like rose wax and melted into skin. I’m also done a @moogooskincare.ca body lotion. I’ve had it in rotation for a couple of weeks and so, yeah, it’s done. It’s the Soothing lotion which is the lightest of the bunch. Goes on creamy and then absorbs. I actually like the thicker ones a bit more for this time of year. This is probably one of the last empties post for 2021!!! Thanks for following along if you have, I know a lot of people have told me that they enjoy seeing these because they can see what I actually have gone through. Some things go quickly (like body care and hair care) and some things take longer (like this body balm! - I tried to save it for emergencies).
