So, Because of the ADHD ( probably?) I have a lot of random knowledge about a lot of stuff
Added to that my families... bad luck/accident proneness and you get a lot of random knowledge about how to break/damage a lot of things
(particularly things on the human body)
This all means that apparently the following are not common knowledge?:
It only takes about 8-10 pounds of pressure to rip and eat off
10 or less pounds (if hit correctly) to break a nose and possibly kill someone (if hit correctly)
The when/ if the top three vertebrae of the neck are broken or fractured this is known as a “hanged mans fracture” because when your hanging someone ideally those are the ones that break and kill them (almost) instantly.
You can’t hold a human head in one hand - like a full human head- Well they only weight about 7-10 pounds, because of how they are shaped it will just roll out of your hand. (I’m sure there’s exceptions to this rule.)
You can in fact break you back and not be paralyzed. The trick is you have to make sure not to break your spinal cord. If you break the spine ( the bones protecting the large nerve) then there’s a fair chance of you being able to recover.
(Both my dad and my step dad have broken their backs and maintain motor functions... actually mentioning that my dads broken him back a good three or four times in multiple places each... he really shouldn’t be walking at this point.)
Humans are some of the most durable and breakable things on this planet. And it never stops amazing me how people can fall down two flights of stairs and be find then stub there toe and be left in tears.
