Well, that went a lot better than Lark had been expecting. He thought he was going to get punched back and then probably cry afterwards.
“Really you think so? Thanks. I’ve actually been working on it a bit.” Though perhaps this wasn’t exactly the best situation to be bragging about something like that. “You sure you’re okay though? It felt like I hit you pretty hard.”
“Yeah, sure.” He chuckled. “Need a bit of control, but you’re nice from what I felt.” Mercury let go of his own face and crossed his arms. “Man, I’m fine, chill. I’m not gonna break.” And there goes another chuckle.
“Kinda used to it. Training and stuff.” That could be a lie or not. But Mercury sounded convincing enough. “I’ll get a bit sore, probably.”
