Deepwood Hollow: a History
Long ago before Deepwood Hollow had become the power that it is today, it was home of the fearsome wizard Endar's laboratory. Held in the highest esteem and the highest fear, Endar had created the all-powerful sword of Reckoning. For years, the citizens lived in fear of the Sword and of Endar's might but, eventually, he disappeared. Whether death took him or something even more powerful, none were certain.
Endar took an apprentice from each race he considered pure - Human, Elf, Halfling, Gnome, Dwarf, Aasimar and Tiefling. These apprentices carried on Endar's legacy and founded mighty houses around their arcane histories. Today, one descendant of each apprentices sits on the council of Deepwood Hollow and refer to themselves as the Council of the Seven-Pointed Star.
The city is one of the largest and most prosperous in the entire world and has a tendancy to attract an exceptional number of both heroes and villains. Deepwood Hollow has a long and rich tradition of hero-lore. Some heroes are attracted to the bustling city life and some are drawn to the legend of Endar's buried Sword. Either way, heroes come in hundreds to Deepwood Hollow to test and prove their mettle.
ALSO ALL THE ENDAR FEELS! Ugh, I wish I could've seen his expression when he talked to Rainier about the storytelling job You sweet, precsious Eyrien you
2012
Greetings friends, and welcome to the first day of the year that Mayans postdated all of their checks to. I hope that you all had a pleasant transition into the New Year spent with good company and even better drinks to celebrate.
I originally had a post that was set to go up before the turn of the New Year designed to summarize 2011, but it just wasn’t worth the time and effort of putting it all together.
