I recorded everyone’s speeches, but I wanted to post Jaebum’s @prdsdef for a reason. For someone who is not really comfortable speaking English, especially in front of a large crowd, Jaebum really made me proud. He spoke in English as well as the other non-English speaking members, the ENTIRE show. This shows how far he’s come since I saw GOT7 for the first time in 2016. Jhope Ending Ment

Can y’all stop sleeping on J-hope’s little ending segment in concerts? Like, when he is in a non-Korean/Japanese speaking country he really goes off in English. I know he memorises what he wants to say, but let’s be honest hoes here, he is the only one who still tries to speak in English (again he’s not obligated to, nor does that make him better than anyone else). Not only that, but he customises what he says for every concert and every tour day. Like wow.

Also, not to mention the fact that he speaks English really naturally too, despite not having the native accent or knowing the language. He mostly gets the intonation right and it is well paced and has a natural sounding flow. That’s really hard to do. English is a stress-based language and there is a certain melody to English, like every language, which is difficult to do well. I think for someone who doesn’t speak English, he did well. and I just wanted to appreciate the hard work he put into that as a linguist and a language learner.
