Had a dumb idea when I should have gone to bed. lol I realized there's a resurgence of cute, plump mascots recently: Sommie from Fire Emblem Engage; Pochita from Chainsaw Man. Plus Nyanko-sensei, because he's always on my mind.

Dimiclaude modern AU, with toddler Alfred.

This is that headcanon I mentioned earlier (https://mysticdragon3md3.tumblr.com/post/709710025757753344/oh-no-got-2-dmcl-au-headcanons-running-in-my-head), with trans Dimitri and Alfred from Fire Emblem Engage as Claude's and Dimitri's child.

But thanks to Dimioselletria / @dmclemblems for the idea of Alfred and Law as Dimitri's and Claude's kids, in the first place.

Maybe when I look into Tales of Arise and get a sense of Law's character, I'll doodle some headcanons of him as Alfred's sibling. But as the older or younger sibling is the question...?

That lion pouch had an orange face, but it turned out darker in the scan.

I'm sorry, I keep forgetting how to draw Dimitri's hair. x_x;

There were some problems with my original 3/7/2023 sketch that I wanted to fix, and I did fix most of it digitally on Krita. But after a few recent scares with electronic devices breaking, I'd feel much better if I could have finalized versions of my drawings in my analog sketchbook, as much as possible. That way, when drives fail or laptops get damaged, I can just re-scan my sketchbooks, instead of losing a lot of digital work to be re-done.

3/11/2023 pencil trace of 3/7/2023 sketch, onto wax paper, flipped, traced with pencil again, then flipped again, to transfer onto sketchbook page. Inked lines with Stabilo Point 88 pens, Copic Multiliner Black 0.25 & 0.03 pens, Copic Multiliner Wine 0.3 pen, and Kuretake Zig Clean Color Real Brush 054. Colored with Copic markers and ShinHan Art Touch markers. Messed up Law's face and fixed on Krita. After I drew Law with an annoyed expression in my original 3/7/2023 sketch, I wanted to give him a cute expression, but ran out of time. (Fortunately, got funny feedback on that. Thanks, dimiclaudeblaigan!) So this version gives Law the cute expression I wanted. Some grooves in paper from tracing, made it too difficult to draw Claude's top eyelids.

Sometimes little kids get into fights.

Dimitri thought Claude bought that shirt as a joke and totally didn't expect it to actually work. Maybe neither did Claude? lol

I'm thinking Law wouldn't get the pink streaks in his hair until he got older. I don't think Claude and Dimitri would let bleach/dye that close to a toddler's eyes.

Finally remembered that Alfred's bangs are higher on the right / his left.

I always thought this "our get along shirt" meme came from an Animal Crossing fancomic (https://mobile.twitter.com/paper_machette/status/1243440854708019200). But turns out it comes from a Reddit photo of real life children in an "our get along shirt"???? (https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/get-along-shirt)

Oh no! Alfred is feeding Dimitri weeds! lol

Actually, Alfred learned about edible flowers and immediately got some to feed to his dad. Maybe Dimitri mentioned an earlier interest in edible wild plants. Maybe that got Alfred asking teachers or librarians to read him books about edible flowers.

Also, quick doodles of baby Law.

Law is a little blurry because I drew too close to my sketchbook's spine, so that part of the page couldn't lie completely flat on my scanner.

I just realized that I've been drawing modern AU child Alfred all this time without his mole mark, so I decided it was time I actually study his canon character design more closely.

I also wanted to return to my monochrome, minimalistic, silhouette art style. But I tried drawing Alfred's face in the first sketch anyway.
