ENT 1-19 Acquisition

Ferengi. Two hundred years before the Federation's first contact with them, here they are. Because this show doesn't even bother pretending to care about continuity.

On the plus side, the Ferengi are played by Jeffrey Combs, Ethan Phillips, and Clint Howard so that's fun.

ENT 1-14 Sleeping Dogs

The writers of this show do not seem to understand the concept of a teaser. They never set up the episode. The credits always seem to start very abruptly. 

So the universal translator only works on verbal communication and not written? That seems like a troubling oversight, but it allows Hoshi to be very useful in this episode.

The Klingons have live targs in the galley. That's new, but it seems believable.

Another decent episode, maybe things are looking up for this series.

ENT 1-11 Cold Front

Oh good, the temporal cold war storyline is back. And it is just as boring as ever. The loss or destruction of all the future devices is ridiculously convenient. Maybe time travelers shouldn't travel with so much gear. What if something happens to them and someone finds that stuff? Also, why doesn't he just go back a day? That's a hell of good point by T'Pol. Time travel logic is the worst.
