I want to say something.  I see a lot of shit happening on my dashboard right now, and you know what?  I don't like it.

Whether or not you like or dislike certain people, or agree with their actions, don't you ever let me catch you calling someone a slut as an insult.  Slut, slut-like, slutty- no.  Stop it.  Just stop it.

You can disagree with people's actions.  But how dare you look down your nose at them and try to insult them by saying that because they have sex a lot, or want to have sex a lot, or are trying to have sex a lot that are somehow worth insulting because of that.  Do we still not understand slut-shaming is wrong here, people?

Now sit the fuck down, and think about that for a second.  If you're going to dislike someone, have a fucking reason for it, that doesn't have to do with their sex lives, however private or public they may be.

And if any of you have a problem with the Whorehouse or think that they're thirsty sluts as well, you can unfollow me right now.  I don't care if you're family.

   I'm actually starting to get complaints that this RP has turned into a full blooded sex only rp.  That is not what Eros Nyx is about.

   We are not here to find masters or pets.  We are not here to find a sugar daddy or a sugar mama. We are not here to sell ourselves to the highest bidder and then allow only that person to touch us.

   While some of the people in this RP do in fact have multiple partners and feel that their lifestyle also follows the Master/Pet, Dom/Sub genre's that's not their focus - they work on their jobs, whether it be as a script writer or a director, like they should.  That other stuff is on the side and not their main focus.

   I'm definitely not trying to come off as a dick, but seriously..

   Eros Nyx is supposed to be a plot driven RP about the day to day activities as to how a porn film or an adult magazine should be made. It's not here to fulfill your smut based RP fantasies.  I'm very sorry that people have come to feel this way.

   I know you're thinking "But it's a fucking porn company Yixing!" but that's just it... a lot of porn actors only behave the way they behave while on camera or in front of a photographer.  Behind the scenes?  They wear their hair up in messy ponytails, don't put on makeup and when they look at scripts, they're wearing sweat pants and drinking coffee.

   I'm starting to get disheartened because some of the people who have been with this directory since its first incarnation are starting to hate it and that's bad. I want everyone to enjoy their time here at Eros Nyx.  But I also want us to get back to what it should be. 

   I'm actually not sorry if I've offended you because I know, Chanyeol knows, Jonghyo knows and the others who have been here a long time know what the basis of Eros Nyx is.  We intend to keep it that way.

Subject : Renovations

It's a pretty sudden move, and I apologize for springing it on people - but we will be renovating the main building.  What does this mean?

At the current time we won't be hiring any new staff.  Only for a couple of weeks at most.  Those of you already with the company may continue as normal.  Take in scripts, reads them, find talent to participate in them, and so forth, but as for new workers? None right now.

This renovation is simply coming to make Eros Nyx new and shinier.  Nothing else will be changing.

A QUICK WORD

Hello guys, it's Boss Yeol. I just want to get a quick word in here, a reminder more so. 

Here at Eros Nyx, we will not tolerate impatience. If your welcome post isn't up as quick as you would like it to be, then that's too bad. The admins here have lives outside of roleplay. [ `gasps. ] Oh god, no way! Yes, they do. So you will have to wait for your post and deal with the accepted posts instead. Got it? So don't go and get others to feel sorry for you just because your shit isn't up. It takes time. 

Also, we encourage everyone to talk to everyone. It doesn't matter if you're straight and only prefer guys, it's nice to still talk to girls, so they don't feel like they can't approach you. Same goes for if you're gay, as well. 

Another thing; if an event is set up, and a DEADLINE is there, you are to sign up BEFORE the deadline. A minute later, an hour later, you are not able to, so that's ANOTHER thing you will have to deal with. If you don't make it before, then don't complain, just wait for the next event. So really,

I'm only going to say this once, and that will be the end of this discussion.

We are not excluding anyone from this event. We gave directory members ample time to sign up. It ran on the tail end of an activity check. Those that signed up before the cut off were added, and those that joined after the cut off were not included because they joined after. They can still make friends and find themselves a valentine for the fourteenth. That's fine. But they can't join the even because people were alreayd paired up and valentines were already set out. There's a reason we did things like this.

Our events are based on a system of giving and taking. Every valentine sender has a valentine as well. Or they should. It's worked well on most fronts. Those who have signed up haven't complained of being left out or ignored by their valentine. So they're sending love, getting love, and it's good for everyone involved. It's also a message to everyone else, one saying "Hey! This is fun! You should join in for the next event!" 

The problem with new individuals randomly jumping in on the event means that they will only receive valentines and not send any. How is that a problem? It's not. Not if you want to get anal about it. But because we admins generally do something for the people who didn't have a valentine for the even (either through their partner dropping the ball, a late arrival, or some other reason) it throws us off. 

If you want to be someone's secret valentine, that's basically fine. But tell us so we can keep things organized. Please. And don't outright complain about it, either. We're not excluding you. We have a set system, and we're trying very hard to stick to it, because the last time we didn't (the Santa event, if I recall), things fell apart. 

Finally, we may be admins, but we make mistakes. Sehun, for example, was a mistake. That's a mistake one of us made because we didn't realize he was signing up, and we treated his message as a regular message. I am in the process of figuring out a way to rectify that, and he knows it.

And for anyone what wants to argue this with me, I will take complete responsibility. This announcement was written by Jonghyo and only Jonghyo. Don't go and complain to Yixing about this subject anymore. Please. Complain to me. He's done a lot for this directory as of late, and I want him to have a few days of not being bitched ta, if you know what I mean.

I can't think of a witty title for this.

Look, this will probably be the meanest thing I have ever said as the admin here and I don't apologize.

We have had multiple people come back to Eros Nyx because they feel that it's the place they belong.  But how on earth could anyone feel welcome when no one says anything to them or reblogs their welcome announcements?

The only thing I will apologize for is that as admin I should be more active and unfortunately I have a lot on my plate, that's why Jonghyo helps out and as soon as Kyungsoo comes back, I'm sure he'll get back to helping as well. Heck, Chanyeol isn't even with us anymore and he still offers help if we need it and V has been the one helping us with the welcome graphics as he has time.

Speaking of Kyungsoo - before he went on hiatus, he mentioned himself about being ignored. That's not cool.  He's a administrator and one of the people who keeps this directory running. How easily you all could turn a blind eye to his attempts to be social astounds me.

There's other people as well, who send messages on anon about being ignored.  About wanting to make friends in the family, only to have all their efforts either ridiculed or just outright dismissed.  That's not what this directory is about.

It is LISTED in the rules that you should WELCOME ALL NEW AND OLD MEMBERS..  you MUST follow everyone on the masterlist unless you speak to one of the head people in charge as to why you are not following someone.  There was even a post made the other day about responding and playing games with people when you see them posted.

I'm beyond thrilled that people think of Eros Nyx as home, but I am LIVID that they feel ignored by their own "family."

Oh where's that mean thing I was talking about?  It's coming.

If you joined Eros Nyx because you just want to find a quick and easy fuck, that's not what we're here for and I don't mind if you exit as quickly as you came. Eros Nyx is here for people to come together and make friends and be a family.
