// RSF-01 Red Eagle Log #1 // I have seen the plans we had to accomplish for the empire. The planets that were yet to be discovered and the fauna to be studied. I certainly hope we don’t have to go down to any deeply infested planets. But, I admit this more to myself than to others, I love this job too much to leave it to someone else. Sure the thrill of danger is exciting but the endless mountains of paperwork and spreadsheets are even more desirable since it means I get to go back to Roma. My family waits for me there. The community there is welcoming and always has been to my family. As a gek and a fifth generation first spawn, it has been very difficult for my family and I to find a place to truly call home. The empire has graced us with a future none of my ancestors would seek out, for they were too hungry for control to announce a proper peace with anyone unless they were gek. It was the reason, my families history with the first spawn, why I chose to leave them behind. My partner is- was a navy pilot. She was what inspired me to seek the stars for myself. Her squad has been discontinued sadly but she still flies and works on repairing ships for the empire navy. Heck, she would be in engineering if it wasn’t for the big surprise she has for me back home. She wouldn’t tell me no matter how many times I ask. “Return to Roma in one piece and I will tell you about him.” She said in a message sent to my private computer. That was a major hint and she refused to give me more afterwords. Anyway we’re coming up to our first destination. Hinny Gamma is a chromatic fog planet. Its one pretty planet to look at from the frigates lounge. But given its history with past research, stuff that dates back thousands of years, I’m going to take it with a grain of salt. Our team has two experience military personal to guide us throughout this system. Its lawless. Pirates could be swarming us at any moment. That’s the last thing we need on this trip. That and being millions of light-years away from empire space. Won’t be able to record anymore logs until we get back on the frigate. I’ll save some pictures of the fauna to send soon.
