Hello, I just saw your eon kid art and I'm happy that there is more people who remember this show, it was favorite show and it shaped my childhood. I really love how you draw Gaph, Black Beauty and green ninja bot (i forgot a name), they really look good in your artstyle.

Question: what are your favorite characters in Eon Kid? What is your biggest nitpick of this show? What Are your favorite desings of a character?

Oh, I'm glad you like!! In my opinion Korean CG animation is very underappreciated in the West (speaking as someone who needs to check out Metal Cardbot as well) and Eon Kid is such a unique little show that, while it rarely crosses my mind, I thoroughly enjoyed revisiting last year.

The green ninja is named Scar! Odd choice since it's such a small feature but he was fun.

My favorite EK character has pretty much always been Gaph (Gaff?). I love the no-nonsense very powerful but still caring trope. Scar was also pretty fun as I recall.

In terms of biggest nitpick... at the very least the first one that comes to mind is that some of the English voice acting (especially for Marty and Allie) can be really awkward in spots, which contrasts with how strong a lot of the acting for secondary characters is. They just wind up feeling a lot more wooden than the other characters at more frequent moments.

(I'm also not a fan of the whole general trope of "great emphasis placed on character's bloodline while avoiding any mention of their mother", which is hardly something EK is unique in doing but man Marty sure just has male ancestors huh)

Favorite designs... hm. I really like Violet's battle mode with the face mask, and pre-breakdown Steeljaw Jack is very sharp. I also remember a lot of the Orange Valley robots being quite unique.

This took a while but since my bestie's B-day is coming up, I had to share this early gift with her.

So behold! The Boa Twins! Well, one of them at least. X'D

So for some context, they are apart of the a large house with is the Boa House. Like the Eon House, they are a large family in which fought in the First and Second War of Robots.

But they aren't the kindness people, unlike the Eon Family, they are rich, spoiled and cruel. They are rivals to the Eon House and do not like them in the best of ways.

But with the wars happening, they had to defend themselves, and so the creation of the Four Invincible Lords was born.

The four warriors fought along side with the Boa Family for years... but that changed when the warriors began to act on their own and left the House of Boa to join with the General's forces.

Years passed and the family had twins that were to be the next leaders of the Boa Family. This is where Saira Boa and her twin brother come into the picture.

This here is Saira Boa, she is the younger twin and she is a cold person. She kinds little for anyone except her twin brother and the fact that she only knows to be demanding to people really makes it hard for her to socialize with anyone.

She is very serious with her image and will do what she can to stay beautiful. Loves jewelry and clothes. She has weapons that she carries around which are called Chakram. Throwing blade discs that are very deadly if you get hit by them and worst part, they come back like a boomerang.

She has lived in a life of luxury and comfortable in her home, not going out as much and would rather not go out. Why would she? But that all changes when she becomes curious about the outside and goes out... she didn't think she would meet someone like Luffianne...

Then there’s the second twin and the older one next to Saira, Jairaj Boa.

He is the more serious one and is the responsible one, since he and his sister are going to be leaders of the Boa Family, he tries to be the tough one and protect the people he cares for.

But he isn't the best with socializing with people, he isolates himself from others and locks himself in his room, studying and training. Only comes out when it's dinner time or when his sister is looking for him.

Jairaj doesn't really smile or show any expression except his grumpy look, why, because he believes that showing emotion is bad and weak for a warrior.

He is close with his sister and sometimes he is a little jealous with her, since she is the younger child in the family, he wish he had some attention from his family. But he hides his jealousy because he doesn't want to be angry with his sister.

He uses a spear weapon which was crafted with rare metals that were gathered from the land they live on and was passed down from generation to generation when the Boa Family has its leaders. He uses it with pride and is very skillful with it, maybe more skillful than Alice with her spear blade.

After years of training and protecting his sister...he finds her missing from the house and he quickly goes outside to look for her...he meets Luffianne and at first doesn't trust them, why would some like them, happy and cheery help his sister.

This makes him question about them and their personality, which makes him more and more interested in them....

That's all! I really was happy with the results of the twins and honestly really proud of their designs, the Indian theme really helped me with designing them. X3

Can we talk about how in eon kid marty and gaffs robot designs look so similar and like, old and bulky, while violet and shadows look newer and sleek. Its a really good touch honestly. It completely separates them into two different generations of robot.
