Like Father, Like Son
And of course it would be Nelly Cruz who’d notice the father-son resemblance between them.
So first and foremost, this is my first time drawing robots in earnest, let alone Transformers, and I am still learning. So issues with anatomy and design here are your standard growing pains. Not to mention I used my figurines as reference models. It did help some, but I’m still very much more used to drawing people than I am robots as evident with Nelly in the bottom panel.
Plus, just like the fic, I combined elements from across the franchise instead of replicating one specific version. Which probably didn’t help all that much in the actual drawing part. Maybe. I honestly don’t know.
I didn’t really put that much effort into the records in the crate. Kinda went a little ham with the different gradients I had saved. And I will admit to half-assing the background a little by just using an old clip studio asset I had for a rock wall and doing some rough shading with the airbrush.
It was still overall fun drawing this one though.
