Labels are for clothes, not people. Don't judge people just because they're different than you, and most certainly don't discriminate against them.

So, what do you think, when someone says equality? Hopefully after reading this you can respect the word for what it fully is. Equality may be the most important goal the human race can shoot for. Without equality, perhaps you would not be here. From the American Revolution, to the civil war, to today, equality is the most we can hope for. Of course, without inequality, we would not be human; we are all not good at the same things.

But we should all be equal in our potential and freedoms.

It is beyond frustrating that it is the year 2015 and we are still dealing with issues based around race, gender, and sexuality. as if the color of someone’s skin or what they do in their own bedroom effects these people personally. I hope that my generation and others after do not purposefully refuse to educate themselves as our predecessors have. It’s frightening to know that the ignorant plant their seeds and ideas of prejudice and unacceptance inside the minds of their children, but I hope with everything inside of me that the collective opening of minds far exceeds those trying to force us back in time towards idiocy.
