Time for more Stovetop sketches because they make me so unbearably unwell

No idea how long it's going to take me to finish this (especially if I start messing with her outfit again) but say a slightly more formal hello to Kettle!

Look under the cut if you want to perceive my nonsensical rambling (I feel like I mention Porter enough to warrant the tag)

At this point she's still regularly taking part in races, but beware she's not afraid of picking fights (that she usually ends up winning too). Her lack of height leads to her getting frequently underestimated too, which has a decent hand in her preferring heavy haulage routes over racing most of the time. I'm not 100% sure yet about how her interactions with Porter go pre-relationship, so watch this space.

She usually races with Belle, but the first time she races with Porter instead is because Belle's not feeling up to it just before and Kettle has too much pride to forfeit. Cue her running around like a headless chook with the race start quickly approaching, before noticing him clearly not paired up and borderline begging for just this once (they barely even know of each other at this point since Kettle only tends to work on 6-8 week contracts at railyards away from her far off home one).

Now idk if it's going to be the same race or not, but at some point when racing with Porter, a diesel engine gets away with intentionally derailing them and Kettle is pissed. So much so in fact that as soon as her injuries are given the all clear, she goes marching off to find said diesel instead of resting like she was ordered to. Needless to say, the ensuing fight is not pretty, to the point of the engines having to get forcefully separated and put on lockdown (aka zipties on their wheels) so they have no choice but to sit down out of range of each other. Enter Porter casually chatting with her for hours (because someone has to keep watch so she doesn't sneak a pair of pliers to escape her plastic prison) and Stovetop is born! (maybe) (kind of) (idk who falls first vs harder also when so another watch this space)

Also the last time Porter sees Kettle for a solid nine years she looks like this, and then the next she has her fancy new red and green paint job with an eight year old Skylark in tow

So that's definitely an eventful day in the railyard

Still trying to figure exactly how I want to draw Porter, but I'm already at the point where I can play dolls with their refs and that's all that matters

Guess which hyperfix got reignited by my seeing a mod dress with a heart cutout and graffitied train cars possibly hoppers? in quick succession

This is when they're late teens/early 20's too btw

Yeah so basically those panels with faceless Clock Tower members have me feeling absolutely fucking deranged so obviously I had to draw Lewis in the uniform, stay tuned for further insanity as a result of this development
