Cellador’s Equus Mulus (Thanks, Nik!). A 4 of 4. A beer/wine hybrid that is definitely closer to the wine-end than the beer-end of that spectrum. There’s a great complexity to this in the nose with white wine notes and a quickly-forming tartness behind it reminiscent of cantillon’s yeast, almost. The body is more juice like with a light tartness in the finish, and there’s a definite tannic undertone that dries your palate. Pretty great, and definitely distinct from many other hybrids.
