Somewhere a Clock is Ticking || Eric/Aiden
23:00 ... 23:30 ... midnight ... a quarter to one!
Aiden was in an office, re-reading some scripts he got, but really just dozing off every now and then. He had them all sorted out by numbers, and the pages were a mess before. It took him a while to actually put up a pile that made sense. His eyes glanced up at the clock that was hanging by the door. "Brilliant" he yawned and rubbed his eyes. If there was one thing he disliked, it was staying alone in a huge building like this after midnight. Especially for work. He got up from the seat and stretched his arms and his back, feeling the bones crack slightly. Spending hours in a chair wasn't cool at all. Picking up the scripts, trying not to mix them up again, he wanted to pin them, so they don't just go messed up again, but the stapler was gone. "Uh" he exhaled, and just held the scripts firmly in his hand. He had a stapler back at home anyways.
Making sure he turned off all the lights and picked up his phone too, Aiden started walking along the long hallway on the fifth floor. It was too quiet for his liking. During the day the halls were crowded and there was always a laughter, or just chatter included. He felt good around other people. Paying more attention to his phone he turned around the corner and felt a sharp pain on his forehead. Did he just hit the wall with his head? "Ouch" he said loudly and realized it wasn't a wall, when he heard another person there. His phone was still firmly held in his hand, but the scripts were all over the hallway. "That's bloody brilliant" he practically yelled and put his now free hand over his head. "And it hurts--" he just looked at the other guy, and his words were gone. "Eric" he finished the original sentence in a more calmer voice, right before getting down to collect the papers that flew from his hand. "I didn't know anyone else was in here..." he commented, not even paying attention to the other, most definitely avoiding eye contact. They haven't talked since the other day, and only exchanged a few texts. Aiden wasn't even sure what to say... Maybe he should apologize for running into him, but he said nothing.
