Okay so maybe I've gone and read a lot of you Dad! Tenna stuff (sobbing btw) and I'm thinking of a situation where the Reader is with the fun gang doing fun gang shit and Spamton notices their little sponge they never got to see grow up act a little...off.

Like, obviously spam doesn't know the kid well atp but he's still their father and something in their face or body movements, vibes, something when they think they're alone doesn't sit right. So, maybe Spammy boy materializes and sits down with the reader silently for a bit in a rare quiet moment together before asking something like, "Hey, kid, you okay...? Doing alright? I know we might not be on good terms, but I noticed something was wrong. Wanna talk about it...?" And the reader taking a real moment of reflection.

Had Tenna ever genuinely asked that question before to them...? Hell, despite Tenna "raising" them they hardly knew actually anything about them...and now the man that they were only told stories and cautionary tales about and all these bad things he supposedly was and did...was right here, right now, doing more than they felt that their "father" they grew up with ever did. And that's what makes the dam burst.

Answering genuinely, "... Actually, I do, Dad...Nothing's okay. Nothing's alright. Nothing's felt alright for a very long time, actually," resulting in telling Spamton EVERYTHING. Everything they remember from when they were little to now about how Tenna has treated them, how they never got a chance to be a kid, the emotional neglect, parentification, night terrors that still most likely persist 'till this day, the fact that Tenna treated them as an employee and not their literal child, quite literally everything they could think of. Obviously the reader is crying from the recollection, and Spamton's just there, rubbing their back, listening to every word.

On the outside, he's comforting his one and only little sponge. Don't worry, Daddy can't change the past, but I'm here for you now...On the inside, he's positively SEETHING. He TRUSTED Tenna to take care of THEIR CHILD. Give them the life they DESERVE. And hearing what actually truly happened through their darling little sponge's tears and sobs? How fucking could he? All they wanted was someone to hold them, love them, and tell them they're proud of them. And what did he fucking do...? To his own god damned flesh and blood?

He'd probably go to castle town to beat Tenna's ass and tell him off next chance he gets. Sure, now that the kid's left Tenna's side, Tenna has at least some level of "what did I do to my kid" to ruminate on, but does he just fully get the scope of the trauma and neglect he caused his own child...?

Tenna will most likely push back at Spamton at first with harsh words and finger pointing, but he'll stop after he hears what the mailman has to say about what the reader told him themselves. Absolute. Devastation. His little starlight...His precious little starlight...he was never a real father, was he...? Is there still a chance he could...or does even deserve a chance at redemption...? What did he do?

I’m very glad we all like Dad Tenna and Papa Spamton, it’s a blog tradition to make Pales’ blorbos into parental figures.

Reader is one of those people who you can tell had a pretty crappy childhood unfortunately and Spamton easily sniffs it out. Like yeah he doesn’t know you but he can tell there’s something wrong with you. Especially how your relationship plays out. You gotta sneak behind Tenna’s back to visit your other dad since their relationship is still very sour.

Tenna’s toxic behavior doesn’t cease when you move to Castle Town, it’s toned down but it’s still there. Ranging from Tenna badmouthing Spamton, being controlling and now being codependent on you now that a majority of his staff has quit. Thankfully you have Kris and the others covering for you.

You’re quite anxious, superstitious and freak out every time you make a mistake or say something that you considered offensive. Spamton doesn’t like this, at all! As his kid, it is your sworn duty to make as much noise and take up as much space as possible! What? Did you think that Spamton and Tenna became big shots by worrying about every minuscule thing that would have no bearing down the line?

In fact, you not being cocky or larger than life is what tipped Spamton off that something weird was going on. He poked and prodded at you about what might be going on at home. Asking about your time in the spotlight and if you liked it. You eventually breakdown about how much you hated your time in the spotlight and resented Tenna for it. Well that certainly shocked Spamton!

Wdym you resented Tenna? As much as Spamton can’t stand (sure pal-) Tenna, he left you with Tenna for a reason. As much as Spamton absolutely loathed to admit it, that Cathode could provide you with an easier, safer life than Spamton ever could’ve. He quickly regretted his decision when you let it all out. You were supposed to be treated like a star! Like an irreplaceable treasure yet Tenna treated you like an intern?! Let you drink?!

Although Spamton is being kind of a hypocrite a bit since he probably would’ve done similar things if he had custody. Mostly the shit talking about Tenna and using you for fame. (Jfc who let you two have kids?) Anyways.

Spamton did make it explicitly clear to Tenna that he wanted you to have the best life possible. As the child of two budding stars, it was natural for you to be treated like a precious gift. Then they would’ve both taught you the trade, using both their talents & skills to make you successful. You would’ve grown up in a secure, loving home with two supportive and loving parents. Yet…

Spamton would definitely zoom on over and try to beat Tenna’s ass. He didn’t push out a whole ass pipis just for Tenna to treat you like shit! And to let his employees do the same! WDYM YOU LET OUR BABY BECOME A BAD OMEN ON SET?! Tenna isn’t gonna take this lying down though, weaponizing Spamton’s own faults. Like how he abandoned you, snuck around doing who knows what with god knows who. Why Spamton should be grateful that Tenna kept you safe and secure in your nepotism!

If it weren’t for Tenna then you’d have absolutely nothing.

Then Spamton would probably throw back something along the lines of “and they’d be happy about it!” Which gets Tenna to STFU

Either way, you’re not sleeping over at Tenna or Spamton’s homes after this bc you need a break

I feel bad for Tenna's Kid. They've been working since the day they've been born and they'll always be second best in their own father's eyes.

BUT I think I'd be really funny if the Fun gang ended up having more fun with Reader than with Tenna. During the parts where Tenna has to step out I think they'd have a lot of fun banter with the Fun Gang. They're all around the same age, would make sense

It be fun to see them even befriend Lancer (basically becomes his babysitter) and become a part of the Fun gang.

They were bitter at first but grow to love the group and I think they'd become really close with Kris, they both know what it's like to have absent parents and they bond over it. Maybe it's the Ralsei who introduces Reader to the other Addisons and they teach reader in the way of advertising!

Maybe we get to see how toxic of a parent Tenna really is when they only person that stayed starts to drift away

The Fun Gang would definitely prefer Reader’s company and challenges a whole lot more for a few reasons. (I imagine Tenna gave you your own segments to spark nostalgia) For one, you’re not condescending and actually understand them. And they actually wanna get to know YOU.

Whenever kids your own age did talk to you or people as a whole, they only asked about Tenna or Spamton. Hell, even Tenna accidentally dumbed you down into just his mini me or assistant. But the gang, especially Kris treat you like a normal person. They don’t ask about Tenna or Spamton, they don’t bring up embarrassing incidents or ask you to repeat catchphrases or commercial jingles.

I can see you and Susie having a good time with matching snarky energies and you playing along with Susie’s crude humor. Besides the Hayes Code is so outdated anyway. While Tenna is fussing over it, you probably give Susie tricks to bypass the censors a bit.

Ralsei is kind to you and doesn’t get upset or belittles you if you accidentally make a mistake or have a bout of clumsy behavior. They help you and ask if you’re okay which is so healing for you. Seriously you almost have a breakdown. You apologize on behalf of Tenna taking Ralsei’s image for merch and promise a check for it.

But obviously you and Kris have the most personal connection. Especially regarding feelings of identity which you’re both shoved into boxes and forced to live out others’ fantasies despite having no say. At first you were harsh towards Kris, purposely making things difficult for them. It was your way of “punishing” them for taking away Tenna’s attention from you.

After the battle, you apologize and say that you too enjoyed their attention. But you need Tenna’s attention more and if you thought that you got rid of Kris, Tenna would care for you more. After your battle, you agreed to help the fun gang escape and put an end to this nostalgic nightmare.

The gang were weirded out and uncomfortable with Tenna’s treatment of you. Especially with how he treated you as a fun accessory or an employee rather than a kid. How you had this sad, longing look in your eyes as you watched from behind the curtains or from set. Susie definitely called Tenna out a couple times only to get abruptly cut off or Tenna assuring her that you’d be fine! You’re just so independent for your age, an old soul if you will!

An old soul or a soul who simply didn’t get to be young?

Oh yeah you’d love Lancer, that’s your friend now. Aww Ralsei introducing you to the Addisons is such a good idea! You express how you’re part Addison and wish you could meet others like you! Tenna never let that happen since he said that as your parent, he’ll provide you with all the guidance you need! Now you have a whole bunch of new family members in a way.

Reader would thrive well in Castle Town. You’re able to be a normal kid for once.

Tenna definitely lost his shit when he found out you were working against him. It was one thing for his employees to leave! Like okay fine! Tenna didn’t care about you lazy, good for nothing free loaders anyway! It’ll just be him and you… wait you betrayed him too?!

At first he thought you were kidding when you admitted that you’ve helped the fun gang and that you wanted to “break your contract.” But Tenna’s laughter died down when you didn’t move and stuck firmly to the gang’s side.

You looked almost afraid of him. You didn’t like this, you hadn’t for a long time. Before Tenna battles you all, you let it out. You cry, ask why he doesn’t like you, what made Kris so special and if he even wants you around as a child rather than a staff member?

Tenna freaks and lashes out, saying that you’re being disrespectful and rebellious. Perhaps it’s time for you to go into timeout and think about what you’ve done! You get the Gacha ball treatment, unable to be saved by Susie or Kris. Oh the angst of when Tenna is about to let you out before he gets his arms chopped off and all you can do is watch

I think Tenna's kid would have friends, possible younger shadowguys. They hide and slack off every once in a while. They're good buddies!

Maybe, Reader decides to let one of them dye their hair black, just for funnies!

The next time Tenna see them he has a heart attack thinking Spamton is back

Aww yes! It’s mostly the older or stricter members of staff who get on your case like the Mikes. The Shadow-Guys, most of the Pippins and others like you a lot. Sure you might be clumsy and childish at times but you’re still their friend.

Tenna tended to pawn you off onto the Shadow-Guys and the Pippins when you were younger so you look at them all fondly and as friends. Perhaps even as pseudo family members since it was them who gave you attention and guidance.

You’re also a better boss and defend them against Tenna’s wrath. You try to listen to them and make their working conditions a tad bit better, since you’re in charge of the advertising department in the scenario where you get into that. You try to pitch ideas of giving them more vacation days and other perks to Tenna but he only waves you off.

I think it be really interesting for Tenna's Kid that, even though he trys to suppress his Kid's Addison side, it still comes out

For example, they're doing their commercial but and actually see a product they like/are interested in so they put their ALL in selling it. Like, this kid is locked in and in the end gets more sales then they've ever gotten before. And the feel a bit whole for once. They feel good. That was fun, no, THAT WAS AMAZING! They are taking that high and they're running with it.

They start doing their own digging into the products they have to sell, they come up with pitches, fun segment to show off the product, etc.

You know how some people only watch the Superbowl for the commercials? That's how some people feel when they watch Tenna's show now. Look that that littles Addison go!!

Yesss! Yk those catchy commercial jingles and monikers that are iconic and recognizable? Yeah you definitely end up having smth like that in the Dark World. At first you’re nervous and it’s blatantly obvious that Tenna is uncomfortable with you doing it. It’d been a suggestion for a while now to have you in Spamton’s role that being an advertiser.

You were a cute and charming enough kid despite your clumsy behavior. People loved you when you would star on Tenna’s game shows! No harm, no foul. Obviously Tenna is willing to do anything to guarantee good ratings and adoration from his audience so he ends up agreeing. Doesn’t stop him from throwing in a “are you sure you wanna do this?” or a “We don’t have to do this” occasionally but you’re dead set.

Mostly everyone was scared that you’d fuck it up and make a complete fool out of yourself. With only a few people in your corner and defending you. You were initially nervous, downright terrified of this. But then something just clicked. It wasn’t like you were in front of the cameras but having an ordinary conversation with someone.

You were funny! Relatable! You talked about the products with a cool, confident air. You feel good about yourself, for once. It isn’t before long till everyone wants a piece of you. You’re so damn likable and funny! Tenna immediately has people pouring in and you get pretty good pay for the advertisements.

But it’s not the money you’re after. Is Tenna proud of you? Everyone else is! For once you’re treated with respect and an actual member of staff. But what does Tenna feel like? You couldn’t read his expressions on set nor could you get access to him afterwards. You find him in a hallway, beaming with pride as you ask him if he wants to go get a drink or if he’s at least proud of you.

Tenna gives you a smile. It’s strained, awkward. He pats you on the head and says you did good but he can’t stay with you. He has… things to do. You’re left alone in the hallway, it’s like everything sours and you suddenly hate what you do now.

If Tenna was gonna behave like this no matter what then why do anything

Dad! Tenna brainrot continues and so do my asks. Thank you for having me in your ask box!

I always imagined Tenna's kid being clumsy, charismatic but very high strung. Like 'the world will end if I so much as sneeze' type of high strung. They fall, they stumble but they do their job without further complications and put on the brave face that their father and coworkers need.

Tenna noticing them being so stressed and anxious and only making it worse. He thinks it's stage fright or that they just need a good old pat on the back to remind them to not sweat it.

Obviously this doesn't help and his kid stops considering him a safe place, getting even more anxious whenever he pays them any attention and only working themselves further to the bone just to make sure they don't get another pat on the back. The only person they probably feel safe around anymore is Ramb who lets them sit behind the bar whenever they feel anxious or have a panic attack.

Or worse if you want some true angst, they go into the Z-Rank room and curl up under the ripped up poster of Spamton and Tenna, imagining that Spamton was comforting them as they try to collect themselves for the AD segment they have to do in 10 minutes. If you want something a little lighter, Tenna coming in while his Kid is having a panic attack in the Z-Rank room to rip at the poster and get his emotions out only to have the very awkward realisation of 'oh shit this room is already occupied'. Kind of like when you go into the bathroom to cry and there is already someone crying there.

Yes I can definitely see Reader being clumsy yet being charismatic and charming. It’s an awkward kind of charm you gotta get used to however. Not for everyone unlike Tenna who went to great lengths to make himself appealing for everyone. I can see you developing OCD esque tendencies, especially magical thinking OCD. (Guy who has magical thinking OCD)

Magical Thinking OCD is where you think that a specific thought or action can affect something entirely unrelated. You feel guilt and stress about potentially causing harm. You take everything seriously while beating yourself up over your own clumsy tendencies.

You spiral into a mess if you don’t have that one specific object you need to make sure you have a good day, cry when you think of a bad thought that you’re now convinced is gonna happen because you thought it into existence.

Obviously Tenna doesn’t help, assuring you that it’s all gonna be okay and that this stage fright will pass. Oblivious to how you’re screaming internally about how you now think Tenna is gonna have an anvil dropped on him and die bc you saw it in your dreams or smth. Everyone thinks that your superstitious behavior and extreme caution is a welcome change of pace from your clumsy endeavors. Now you’re finally taking things seriously!

Oh the thought of Reader trying to envision Spamton’s comfort is so fucking sad bc you’re running off on assumptions since you never met him. You curl up sadly in the dark room, trying to remember what he sounded like from the commercials you watched a long time ago. Trying to self soothe while holding yourself. Imagine you had that lil red car in your pocket that resembled the Cungadero Spamton owned. Just augh this whole family

Dad! Tenna would absolutely suppress his Kid's Addison side

I think it's a mixture of not wanting to see his kid leave and that he doesn't want them to end up like Spamton. (This could mean two things, one he doesn't want his kid to disappear or two, he doesn't want his kid to get as famous as Spamton was with their advertisements)

I think Tenna's the type of dad who wants their child to succeed...just not as successful as him. He still has the need to be number one and if his kid is an Addison I can see him worrying that his kid's deals will outshine him. He would probably see his kid as competition if they ever became a proper Addison

It’s less from a jealousy standpoint but born from concern and trauma. Tenna not only got abandoned by his partner for seemingly no reason and left to juggle not only his show but also a kid but he was then abandoned by the Dreemurs one by one. The thought of his baby, the only person who has biological ties leaving and ending up like Spamton scares him.

You don’t call or visit, you just seemingly disappear while being deathly afraid of something that Tenna doesn’t know about. So he’ll protect you by suppressing the side that landed Spamton into this mess. Surely it won’t have any lasting consequences since he’s been raising you like this since you hatched! You don’t gotta question a thing! Tenna forgot about everyone else however who were less than keen on Tenna doing that.

It’s difficult if not impossible to claim that you don’t have any of Spamton or Addison traits. Most people aside from outsiders don’t comment on it which only further makes you spiral.

Tenna will assure you that it’s fine. Why be some dumb door to door salesman when you can be a star? Nobody likes a pushy salesman but everyone can’t get enough of a budding actor! I mean look at what happened to Spamton and how the Addisons in cyber city are living pay check to paycheck! (Tenna’s words) You don’t gotta worry about a thing as a star! So put down those wares and pick up a script!

Would Tenna's kid have been homeschooled? Or is there a school for Darkners? I feel bad for them if they're homeschooled, Tenna would be a terrible teacher

Yeah Tenna probably homeschooled you and it was bad… very bad. The tv makes for good entertainment but not a good teacher. Tenna probably ended up giving up when you exited out of toddler age and got you a tutor if possible? Not to mention the abhorrent lack of socialization with kids your age, they could see you but you couldn’t see them.

Off topic but I can see Tenna maybe trying to have you be all buddy buddy with Kris since they also grew up alongside you. You both should be attached! Don’t you remember all the good times you all had together? And you’re just glaring daggers while Kris feels extremely uncomfortable for you.
