Just wanted to drop a tiny announcement for everyone reading my royai stuff. NSFW mentions, but nothing explicit. Text below the cut!
As a lot of you know, I've been going back through and editing and finishing a lot of my old multichapter WIPS with the eventual goal of completing them all and getting on an upload schedule with one multichapter WIP going at a time by the end of the year.
Currently, I have been making good progress with updating most of my things at least once a month in hopes of slowly completing them all, and I now have 7 works in progress compared to the 10+ that I had at the end of 2025. I'm very proud of myself and plan on using the duration of March to crack down some and get in an update on 5 of these WIPS; the last chapter of my 5+1 fic, the 6th of 7 chapters of Wet Dreams, Chapter 7 of ADITLORM, chapter 13 of Written Confessions, and chapter 3 of Yours, Still. Most of these chapters are already mostly finished and just need edited/brushed off before posting.
You may notice, however, that I've left off Unexpected and After Hours. These were two of my earliest FMA fics, both posted when I joined the fandom at the beginning of 2025. To be honest, I don't have a lot of experience writing massive projects like they were intended to be, and got carried away. Both need major edits because my writing style has changed so much since I started them, and Unexpected in particular has details that I now know are canonically incorrect/a few plot holes. Because I've already written so much, the idea of editing them is daunting, but I just don't want to continue them until I can edit the earlier chapters and get them to a point where I'm comfortable with their quality. Unfortunately, though, this means I haven't updated either fic in over half a year and I know people aren't happy about it. Since December or so, I've been receiving a lot of comments on both, some polite, more not so polite, asking for updates. I've tried explaining the above thought process but the comments keep on coming. I know I could easily go and turn them off, but I'm in general overwhelmed by both fics and have decided to take them down temporarily. I have them backed up and my plan is to go back and finish and repost them re-edited when I'm happier with the quality. This probably won't make sense to everyone, but this is just the easiest course of action to keep me productive/organized and sane.
Like I said, After Hours and Unexpected have been taken me down, leaving me with my 5 multichapter WIPS for now, which I hope to finish in the next few months while also focusing on my oneshots.
For anyone who is curious about what oneshots I've had going, I've been trying to explore different scenarios lately to make my smut writing a little more varied, so I recently posted a vampire Roy and a vampire Riza fic. Got a few requests recently that fall into this (piercing-related fic, slight expansion kink fic, etc) and have also been working on some dbz oneshots since I've been getting back into that fandom lately too.
