Tag (2015) a.k.a the Chasing World #reinatriendl #erinamano #marikoshinoda #yukisakurai #sionsono #foreignfilms #japanesefilms #thriller #horror #splatter #horrorfilms #movies Not sure why they went with "Tag" as the title for this one. It really make no sense. That aside, it wasn't a bad film. You're never sure of the why of what's happening in the film, but that lends itself to some of the tension. The movie is kind of like Jacob's Ladder, in that some very bizarre things begin happening to the schoolgirl protagonist, Mitsuko, starting with a bus... well, I wouldn't call it an accident, in which everyone, but her, dies. And it all leads to a Donnie Darko/Butterfly Effect type of ending. And it keeps you guessing to the end why this poor high school girl is targeted. Overall, if you can handle the subtitles, it's a good watch. Some good jump scares, plenty of blood, very good fight scenes, some cool kills... I give it a 3 1/2 out of 5. What did you think?
