OK MAMAS let's get right down to it- you likey Eris, look her up, oh no! Nothing there except Wikipedia and Sinbad and the Legend of the Seven Seas. While She does like how they portrayed Her in that movie, let's be real here.
So, lovely soul, I offer to you a trade. You get endless beauty, a fat ass, and a somewhat basic guide on Lady Eris's correspondences.
I get glitter with which to incite catastrophe.
Fair trade, no?
Again, this post is more correspondence and resource heavy than anything. You can find Her myths fairly easily. The best texts for that are the Theogony, Works and Days, and The Iliad.
Other resources on Eris include:
Principia Discordia by Malaclypse the Younger (did I spell that right?)
Theoi.com (though I didn't find that resource very helpful)
Wikipedia
I know that's not a lot, but she's kinda an obscure goddess. You just gotta like- go your own way. I believe in you diva, trust.

This goes without saying, but PLEASE x999 use the last one VERY x999 responsibly and adhere to your federal and local laws and guidelines. The goddess of chaos would like you to be safe, and so would I 🫶🏾

Animals:
Wasps, Ravens, Honey Badgers, Magpies, Boars, Snakes, Black Cats.
Celebrations:
None in ancient times, but in modern times I like to think if the fifth day of the month as Hers. Apparently it's when vengeful chthonic spirits come to collect the debt of malefic mortals or something. It doesn't have to be anything big tho. Just make sure she knows you're thinking of her :)
Her baby sisters and father had to leave without her because the little girls had contracted hepatitis from their living conditions and needed medical care. Shahd is there alone. She's so kind and wonderful, and seeing how much joy has left her is crushing. I'm doing everything I can for her, but the border people and the banks and gofundme all ask for so much money that it's impossible to raise as one person alone. After she raised the money to get her siblings out, donations stalled severely. Her sisters need her. Her father is struggling with heart issues, and if something happens to him, the girls will be alone. Any amount helps. As of 07/30/24 she needs to raise 40k before it becomes even more expensive to leave.
Please do what you can to save my friend. I'm terrified that I'll never hear from her again. She was almost killed recently trying to get water. I'll never be the same if something happens to her.
Have you ever experienced seeing your dream broken in front of your eyes and not being able to do … Shahed Muhammad needs your support for H
What do you think about the "Dark" goddeses/Titanesses i.e: Nyx, Akhlys, Selene, Artemis, Dea Tacita, Hecate and generally those who goddesses/titanesses who are linked with the Dark and everything with it?
Well considering I’m devoted to Artemis and have a very close relationship with Eris, I’d say I’m very pro “dark” deities. I think they offer essential and specific guidance that all mortals can benefit from since we also dwell in the dark realms and those elements live within us. Eris especially has taught me this lesson. Artemis herself told me she liked having Eris around because “Eris is reminding you that you have claws and fangs”
I actually recently wrote in my journal “I like the person I am with Eris around”. She’s really changed me for the better and helped me significantly(in her own way) on my self-love/healing journey.
It’s funny too bc the thing I’ve been saying since the moment she showed up is “I don’t ever want to let you go”. It’s been like an instant bond because her energy was what I was craving as a chronic people pleaser prone to constant fawning. I needed her and she knew it. As Artemis said, I needed to be reminded that I could fight back. And thanks to both Eris and Artemis, I am fighting back and reminding OTHER people that I have claws and fangs that I no longer hesitate to use.
Best advice I can think of is be casual with Her! Treat Her like a chaotic old friend. To me She seems to like informality in prayer, poetry, and tarot readings. For rituals especially with other gods I do keep an eye on etiquette and rules but for the most part let loose! Do what you feel is right for your and Eris's relationship and have a lot of communication and get feedback on offerings and devotional acts as well!
Do you know of any people who post about Eris/Discordia or Kronos/Saturn on tumblr? Obscure deity struggles 😔
Not that I can think of. That being said maybe some of my followers will recognize themselves.
The only blog for Saturn that was in @thepastelpriestess' list has deactivated. As for Eris, @cat-in-the-window was the only one in the list. @lyresstrings also wrote about Eris not that long ago (?). Tagging you all so in case you can help anon!
Just purchased this Eris charm bracelet to wear as both devotional jewelry and protection, but i found it quite humorous that the seller is doing 10% off when you use code APOLLO. xD
Guess Apollo approves of me getting help from Eris!
"It was never true that there was only one Eris (Strife). There have always been two on earth. There is one you could like when you understand her. The other is hateful. The two Erites have separate natures. There is one Eris who builds up evil war, and slaughter. She is harsh; no man loves her, but under compulsion and by will of the immortals, men promote this rough Eris (Strife). But the other one was born the elder daughter of black Nyx (Night). The son [Zeus] of Kronos (Cronus), who sits on high and dwells in the bright air set her in the roots of the earth and among men; she is far kinder. She pushes the shiftless man to work, for all his laziness. A man looks at his neighbor, who is rich: then he too wants work; for the rich man presses on with his ploughing and planting and ordering of his estate. So the neighbor envies the neighbor who presses on toward wealth. Such Eris (Strife) is a good friend to mortals."
