“Thank you, I do take pride on my sneaking skills.” Yip walked out from the shadow and casually tossed the wand away. “And I adore you too, Eris. Do not worry, I won’t be too harsh.” He offered a sly smirk, walked toward his friend and was rather pleased with his prank.

“Oh, come on now, Eris. You know how many people want to pull this prank at you, considered what a wonderful person you are? I simply took initiative and protect you from those terrible fates.” He offered the man his most charming grin, “Better me than anyone else, no? What’s the worst I can do? Make you kiss me? I don’t need a collar on your neck to get you to do so.”

“What are you doing here?” It didn’t take long for Yip to find Eris. After all, he knew exactly what kind of places Eris would go to when depression hit the man. They have lived for thousands of years, depression and mental issues are pretty common for people who live as long as they are. Perhaps that was why the two held onto each other all these years. It was always comforting to know someone who will be there for you when one of these episode hits. “I haven’t heard the whole story but,” Yip shrugged, sat down next to Eris and gave him a glance. “It wouldn’t take someone who has known you for centuries to know that you are worried. It’s written all over your face.”

He reached out with an arm and wrapped it firmly around Eris’ shoulders, pulled him in closer as he looked up.

“Talk to me. What’s on your mind?”
