The car trip was lengthy, you could feel yourself growing tired as you looked between Saeyoung’s steady face and the never ending road. The sun was already on it’s descent, light cast over the bare landscape. The computer continued to call out coded details for Saeyoung before going silent. He ran his thumb over your skin softly, sending hot shivers throughout your body. “We’re almost there. Thank you for staying awake, I know you were doing it for me.” He takes a right turn into a deserted dirt road, listening to the dirt catch on the underside of the tyre’s. rumbling of dirt under the tyres. late afternoon at an abandoned cabin. Vanderwood stands out front with Saeran restrained beside him. Behind, however, five agents stood, riffles armed and aimed. You felt cold, fear striking up inside you. A gentle squeeze of your hand from Saeyoung could only subdue your fears momentarily. He could see your concern, although you tried not to show it outwardly. “Lean down MC, so they don’t see you in their periscopes.”
You followed his instructions, positioning yourself so you wouldn’t be seen but you could still look at Saeyoung. “We’re almost there now. We’re coming to get you Saeran.” He said to you and to himself. “Before we arrive, send a message to Jumin. Let him know these co-ordinates and to send back up. Tell them to wait until I give the signal. They will know it when they see it. I won’t risk harm coming to you in this mission. Even if I have to give my life to save yours, please know that I am willing to do so to show you how much I love and cherish you.” Your heart stirred at his words with love and worry clashing inside violently.
“I love you Saeyoung. No matter what happens here, I love you so much.” A fractured smile crosses his face, small tears forming in his eyes out of joy. But the emotions were not shown for long with car coming into range of the armed agents ahead. He didn’t want to lose you, not after everything that had happened. Not after he realised how much he loved you.
“This shouldn’t take too long. Remain hidden in the car until I come back for you. I love you.” He says looking into your eyes one last time before calmly exiting the parked car. You could hear their voices around you, Saeyoung’s voice cool and calm in the tense situation. A voice replies of whom you assume to be Vanderwood’s but the words are lost, too far away for them to be deciphered. The voices continually fading until they can no longer be heard, but you don’t dare look up, trusting Saeyoung’s words. The deafening silence is broken as two sets of feet stir up the dirt around the car. Your body freezes, unsure of whether it is Saeyoung with Saeran or two unknown people. You stay still, you remain quiet but they get closer and closer. You nervously send a warning message to Saeyoung and try to remain as calm as possible. But the car door is broken open, hands reaching out to grab onto your hair, tugging it roughly as a bag is placed over your head and you are drawn out of the car.
------------------------
“Where did you take Saeran? He has nothing to do with this.” Saeyoung growls at Vanderwood, whilst concern grows within him over the distance placed between him and the car hiding MC.
“Oh, I am quite aware of that, but his relationship to you does show promise for our cause… that is evident by watching you squirm uncomfortably now. You are supposed to throw away all of your connections as an agent Seven. I was sure you knew that.” His eyes flick over Saeyoung as he raises his hand to his ear, listening to the spoken words played into his ear. “Oh, but it seems that you have only been picking them up. Due to your weakness I will have to re-educate you as we have just found a larger bargaining chip we can use against you.” Vanderwood twistedly grinned. Saeyoung’s resisted all urges to look towards the car. It wasn’t her. They couldn’t possibly have known she was there. Vanderwood enjoyed observing Saeyoung’s eyes widen as his jaw tightened seeing her small form manhandled by two burly agents. A gag around her mouth so she couldn’t cry out, a blindfold over her eyes so she couldn’t see. He knew the feeling of her situation. He had been taught to deal with it through training within the agency but she hadn’t. He could see her notably trying to hold in her shivers of fear. He couldn’t restrain himself enough to hide the rage from seeping out of his features, forming fists at his side.
“Don’t bring her into this” he snarls through gritted teeth, rage consuming at the thought of someone unknown touching her, let alone restraining her.
“Oh, But Seven. You brought her into this yourself, you can only blame yourself for what danger shall come to her now.” He tenses regretting the truth of Vanderwood’s words. Creases building on his forehead as he remembers every moment he tried to warn her, tried to push her away, every second that he had hurt both of them to keep her safe.
“Is the employer more important than your fellow agent?!” Seven queried, the slight hitch in his voice revealing the reality of watching MC restrained and in fear affecting him.
“It was once a matter of price however, your attitude ultimately secured my decision. After all those hours spent watching you break from your concentration, for what? For a simple girl who you hadn’t even met. Someone who was so blind to the warning signs to follow the ploy of a hacker? By your own brother for that matter. Surely you should have seen the danger signs. OUR LIVES WERE ON THE LINE IN THIS MISSION! And you just threw it all aside. Whatever greatness I thought you had, whatever greatness you were as an agent, as a world class hacker, you proved yourself unworthy of my trust in that moment when you gave in to your idiotic emotions. Chasing that idiotic girl who will end up getting you killed here. And don’t worry, once we’ve gotten rid of you, we will have no hesitation getting rid of her too, or maybe…” his mouth smirking as his eyes train themselves on Saeyoung. “Maybe we should break you mentally first?”
He hears her shriek as a hand wraps around her hair, the gag now removed. They dragged her towards Vanderwood painfully, as she fell and scrapped her legs, unable to see how to get back up. Saeyoung felt fire run through his body, ready to run towards her, assessing the situation unfolding around him. All possible outcomes running through his head before they were halted to a stop at the cold sensation of the barrel of a gun being placed against his temple, stopping all ideas of rescue in their tracks. He tested the willingness of the soldier to fire by taking a step further but as the gun clamped itself closer to his head he gave in for now. The agent beside him was ready to kill, and dying at this point wouldn’t save you. For now, he could do nothing.
----------------------------
You were pulled towards Vanderwood’s voice as you screamed and bit down on your captors when they placed a hand against you mouth to silence you.
"Oh, now, now agents, we want to hear every sound she makes. Just look at him squirm, look at how his eyes have turned dark, how his jaw is clenched, you don't want to miss seeing that now do you?"
"Sa... Seven..." Your heart aches for him as you call out into the unseen landscape surrounding you. Unsure and afraid.
"My love. Don't cry. It’s okay." But you couldn't help shivering as you felt a set of fingers threading stiffly through your hair, before reaching down to your pocket, taking your phone from you. Those same fingers traced their way up your body to the blindfold, removing it to open your vision to two brown eyes. He caught a hold of your chin, pulling you roughly towards him, placing a dry kiss against your lips, far too long to be considered anything but unwanted. You felt repulsed, ready to throw up as his hands wandered down your neck, turning your blood cold until he settled on your shirt buttons, tearing it open to reveal your bra and bare skin. He stopped, “I think that will be enough to elicit some response from him” he whispers in your ear as tears formed in your eyes. He regains a strong grip around your chin, forcing your head towards Saeyoung.
Saeyoung's face was contort with something which you hadn't seen before. It was so dark and so broken, fueled by anger...
Hey hey readers. I would have loved to post earlier but I was struggling to get this part right and I seem to be getting called into work a lot at the moment, (which isn’t too bad but it means I keep missing all the chats with my lovely Jumin).
Part 1: Here
Part 3: Here
----------------------------------
You pull yourself up from the bed, taking a warm shower before getting dressed and gathering yourself for the journey and risks ahead. Saeyoung sits patiently waiting and watching you as you cross the room. Placing the few possessions you have in your bag, you feel his arms encircling you from behind as he settles his chin on top of your head. He doesn’t say anything for a while. Just stands there holding you as his scent fills the space surrounding you.
“Thank you MC. Thank you for loving me. When we get Saeran back our family will finally be all together… but… even I the great Defender of Justice, 707... must admit to my mortal enemy and say that I am afraid.” You swivel round in his arms, turning to look up at his face, taking it in your hands. “I am scared of what has happened to him in the years I was gone, what lies plague him. I am afraid I won’t be able to save him.” He looks to the side, mumbling, “I am afraid he won’t like Honey Buddha chips.” You giggle. Although you can sense that he is tense with worry and self-loathing, like what he had been before.
You raise your lips to his, softly brushing yours against his until he invites your presence. It is soft and hesitant. You bring your fingers around to his hair, tangling it within your fingers, pulling him into you. His lips become more desperate, as you grow closer and closer to him. You pull away briefly, knowing you have drawn his full attention.
“Saeyoung. If anyone can save Saeran it is you. If he can see only a fraction of how much you have suffered, even how much you hate yourself…” your words choke in your throat, ‘How much you hate having left him. Even if it is only a fraction of your pain, I am sure that he will come to trust you again.”
“How do I deserve you MC? I don’t understand how you can stand in front of me and know to say everything I want to hear.” He takes your hand, as you nod in assurance. “I don’t know what will happen from here. I never know what to expect for the day ahead but today I am especially unsure. I am afraid of what will happen. So, before we leave, MC… please let me leave evidence on you that I existed… that we existed.” You felt the blood rush to your face at his sudden boldness.
“Hand me your phone.” You looked at him puzzled. He turns away for a few moments. Within seconds he has your fingers intertwined with his again and he places the phone in your open palm, moving his hand away slowly to reveal the small charms attached to it. You feel tears stinging at your eyes. It was a collection of small handmade charms.
A miniature cat robot, a small set of yellow and grey glasses and a single star. Saeyoung watches you as you examine them between your fingers. You come to a stop at the star, watching the light reflect of it. “It’s symbolism” he muses. Raising a hand to your cheek, stroking it gently. “You are my stars, my guiding light MC. Without you, I would still be swimming throughout the black void. Instead of being separated from you, watching from afar, I feel as if I am in the space station, getting closer to you every day as you unfold the universe around me.”
You feel the tears freely flowing for this wonderful man standing in front of you. “Oh!” he says suddenly. “I also left this with you.” He draws his phone out of his pocket, opening the photo app to show a photo of your sleeping face. “I will enjoy looking at this one.” He enlarges the photograph until your eyes lay on what he wants you to see. His face smiling cunningly. Once he is sure you have seen what he intended you to see he turns to phone away only to hear the snap of a photograph being taken of your flushed, stunned face as your hand reaches towards your neck.
“I think this photo is even better though.one’s even better” he muses, looking over his latest photograph. Not only had he placed cat ears on your head whilst you were asleep but the numerous spots that covered your body. “I may have given you a couple of hickey’s.” he chuckles behind his phone. Your face flushes even further. “A couple! Saeyoung it looks like I’ve got chicken pox” you can’t help but laugh. He just didn’t know when to stop, but you loved him for it.
“That’s not fair” you say playfully. Grabbing onto his shirt and pulling him towards you. You lean your head into the nape of his neck, bringing your lips to his skin… biting and sucking at it until you are sure there will be a substantial mark. Pulling back, you trace your fingers the newly made mark. “There. Now you are not the only one having all the fun.” You say smiling. Looking back up at him only to find his face flushed bright red. Recomposing himself, with an irregular cough and readjustment of his glasses he grins at you. “606, I think its about time to go” as he draws your hand from your side, to hold it securely at his.
You grin in response as he leads you both to the car. His hold on your hand only breaks when you arrive at the car, settling yourself into the passenger seat. Within seconds he had recaptured your hand in his as he leaned around to start up his computer. Blinking to life in the back seat, the computer’s AI system called out. Feeding out binary code related to coordinates and covering their tracks. It all past your head like a blur but Saeyoung knew exactly what was announced and how to react to it.
You played with the small charms he had given him, feeling your face blush as you remembered the mark he had left on you when your guard was down. Embarrassed at the thought you sat quietly, not willing to disturb him substantially whilst he was in deep concentration. You simply drew his hand to your lips, observing him blush at the sudden sensation. The reflection of the tarmac road, reflecting off his glasses like a television screen.
