                    If their could be one word Linda could use, any at all, to describe Bobby – or more accurately, give an impression of – it would be sunboy. Or maybe sunshine, because he’s been blessed by the sun – baby blond and tanned ( but yeah, you expect that from farmwork, right? right, makes sense, stupidly obvious sense ) and built like a brick shithouse ( like Mum would say ). Not thanking for the sun for the build, but they go hand-in-hand, don’t they? They do.

                    That, and the warmth in his friendliness, which is as big he is physically. It could be easy to be comfortable around him, and on more than one occasion she was close to spilling beans. No particular beans, but personal beans all the same. It’s just a touch disconcerting that Linda could be that desperate for talking about anything.

                    Still, maybe at some point, she might push the line and think of him as a potential friend.
