i think the fixation that many trans people (including me) have with the idea of running off to a place nobody knows you so you can live as yourself is interesting. for me it’s manifested in a intense interest in cowboys, cowboy media, and general wild west history. the idea of running off into the middle of nowhere to be who i am is such a nice thought to keep in my head. maybe one day i will move out west, live how i want to live, be myself and only myself.
