@enjinsosei i’m making this another thing because I didn’t really have a beef with what you were saying about Scath beating Gil or Scath being the Strong, however
forgive me if I’m wrong about what this was about, but i thought most of the salt over Scath, from my (admittedly limited, since I won’t touch the fandom anywhere else) knowledge isn’t just that she’s the strongest Lancer insofar.
It’s because her artist, who is also a pretty high ranking member of TM (I believe second to Takeuchi? Could be wrong and I’m remembering someone else tho), released a tweet last year around the time she came out about how resources were diverted from other Servants to make her look better. It caused a whole thing among the Japanese fanbase at least and even Takeuchi called him out abt how he handled it but like..... It was not that big of a thing.
Fast forward a year to Enkidu being released and people are upset because they’re really popular but perform only sub-par....... kinda the case with Iskandar, but the problem here is how literally none of the other 5* Lancers have NP Interludes (even ones that came out around the same time like Karna) and don’t have good synergy with their builds. It would be one think if Scath was ridiculously overpowered like how Archer Arturia is far and away simply ridiculous with her NP spam, or how Waver is simply the best as far was support casters go, not to mention Bersercu, but Scath isn’t.......... ridiculous. So the fact that she doesn’t set a high bar and others STILL can’t reach it has lead ppl to question if they’re purposefully shitting on everyone else so she can keep her place as best 5* lancer.
Now, I don’t really believe all of that or anything, sometimes I just read up on scandals in fandoms. If ppl are just being shitty powerlevel whiners that’s one thing and ur completely justified speaking on ur fav, but if ppl are raising legitimate concerns over power balancing in a game where people really wanna use their favs (to the point of spending a lot of actual money), then yeah, even if the conspiracy claims are ??? they do raise a good point
