i know it probs doesn't bother other people that much but i HATE the whole "cut the cord" misinformation in fanfiction. Like probably the writers just don't know better but if you don't have an actual doctor or professional to clamp the cord, if you just cut the cord in the elevator then both the parent and the baby will die. That's it. And the more common this idea is, the more likely it will be that in an emergency setting, someone would do this without knowing better. All you have to do is wait, the body will deal with the disconnection itself if you wait a little bit and then you wouldn't cause someone to bleed out. Please please please let this stop being so common in all forms of media
