I’m just a human.
Trying to human.
Be kind.
Human Brain Maintenance
AKA touch grass protocol/ have you tried turning it off and on again
(for when it feels like things are going wrong)
- Get some sleep!!! Goodness knows most of y’all don’t get enough. Please. Nap. I’m begging you.
- Drink! Water! Right now! Go do it! It’s been said before, but hydrate or diedrate!!
- Eat something - lil snacks, meals, I don’t care, just something.
- Take a shower! Especially now that it’s getting pretty cold in some places, it’s v nice, and also it’s good for your Frog Brain (and if you don’t think you have a Frog Brain, think again. It’s in there somewhere).
- Breathe. Take a breath. Take another one. Keep it going. You are loved. You got this. Please take care of yourself.
That’s my list of human reset buttons, feel free to add to it! Thank you!!
Thank you for being one of the positive and kind people in this hellhole of a fandom. Never change that! You and others like you are what fandoms are supposed to be like. Not like the vile entitled brats out there. I will copy past this to others, but it's not to diminish your role in bringing the positivity out there! But I do feel that all the good people out there deserves to hear this so if you want to, do feel to share this or something similar to spread the positivity =)
Thanks Anon. I appreciate it. I know I'm not always positive about some of the things that go on and I don't always succeed in censoring myself. Sometimes this fandom really tests me and I want to go off on the haters. But I try very hard to remind myself that that just makes me like them. Thanks for reminding me that kindness is the high road.
Love's not enough In itself.
This is an important song because Martin Gore is really questioning himself and his values (lovey dovey INFP).
I appreciate the humility & courage that is displayed by the challenging of your own deeply cherished beliefs.
Plus I agree with the sentiment that love is often cancerous and is certainly not always a positive thing.
On a side note, I know there are some out there that have more painful emotions around Valentines Day. I may be in a relationship now, but I was single for 20 years before I had my first relationship and I always loved Valentines Day regardless.
I felt and still feel even now that a holiday revolving around love should really be a day where everyone feels good, not just those in relationships. It’s not just a day to celebrate romantic love. I see it also as a day to celebrate the love of family and friends and more importantly, yourself. Don’t be sad on Valentines Day because you feel like you’re alone. Make this a day to feel love for yourself, even if only for one day a year. You’re worth it!

"Oh, you want to kill all passengers of this ship by crush it in Rome? Happens."
"Wait, did you just kill the child? NOW I'M GONNA KICK YOUR ASS"
