Create your own rich and flavorful espresso liqueur at home with this easy recipe. This liqueur is perfect for adding a coffee kick to your favorite cocktails or enjoying on its own.
Ingredients: 2 cups of strong brewed espresso. 1 cup of vodka. 1 cup of granulated sugar. 1/2 cup of water. 1 vanilla bean, split and seeds scraped out. 2 tablespoons of coffee beans.
Instructions: Prepare two cups of strong espresso and let it cool down. Put 1 cup of granulated sugar and 1/2 cup of water in a saucepan. While stirring, heat over medium heat until all the sugar is gone. Take it off the heat and let it cool down. In a large bowl, mix the vanilla bean seeds, 1 cup of vodka, and the cooled espresso. Mix the sugar syrup in well after adding it. Pour the espresso liqueur mixture over the coffee beans in a clean container that won't let air in. Put the jar in a cool, dark place for at least 48 hours and seal it up. After letting the liqueur steep for a while, strain it through a fine-mesh sieve to get rid of the coffee beans and any other solids. Put the espresso liqueur in a clean bottle or jar to keep it safe. Make your own espresso liqueur and use it in cocktails or as a tasty drink after dinner.
