Kanon!

why i like them: He's kind of sassy.

why i don’t: It's a very shallow reason, but I don't like the way he manipulated Suzaku after he had met with Lelouch. It was actually very masterful, choosing the right moment so that they could get Suzaku to do what Schneizel wanted, but it was messing with my baby and I can't stand for that.

favorite episode (scene if movie): A Bride in the Vermilion Forbidden City. You get his fun introduction and then, if you watch carefully, you get to see Kanon step in front of two Knights of the Round to defend Schneizel from Zero and Li Xingke. 

favorite season/movie: R2, mostly because that's when Kanon is around the most and also because of all the inappropriate eyesex with Schneizel during key battles and when Zero attacks.

favorite line: "Public and private."

favorite outfit: He kind of only has one.

otp: Schneizel/Kanon

brotp: Kanon and Nina.

head canon: Kanon is pretty much fully trained to be a knight, he was just never knighted and doesn't want to. That doesn't stop him from acting in that position when Schneizel needs him to. Also, he and Schneizel have had sex on every piece of furniture in Schneizel's office.  Everywhere.

unpopular opinion: Are there any unpopular opinions about Kanon? I admire his manipulative and administrative skills even when they are directed at my favorite characters (especially when they're directed at Schneizel).

a wish: He had gotten more character development or a bit more backstory, because he's an interesting character.

an oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen: Die, because then esprithikari would be devastated and I would have to write all of the happy ending fics.

my nickname for them: Kanon. He doesn't lend himself to a nickname.

Charles/Erik

How many kids?: As many as Charles can handle, and a few more than he can. Basically the mansion is full of them.

Who’s the strict one?: That's Erik. He's always on them about doing their homework, their chores and to practice their powers. 

Who lets them get away with everything?: Charles, but more to act as a counterpoint to Erik. He kind of knows about what the kids are doing before they can do it so he takes steps, plus he's more than happy to have kids filling up his family home, so he deals better with the kids and their craziness.

Was either one reluctant to be a parent?: Charles was more than ready to, Erik was kind of reluctant. Now he's kind of glad about the kids, but he'd never tell any of them that exactly.

Family Traditions?: Very carefully not disturbing Charles and Erik during their chess matches. Family dinners are very important to Charles and then there are the family training sessions and then lazy Saturdays.

Any requirements of the kids? (bring honor to the family, get married and have lots of kids, etc): Erik expects them to be proud of their mutations no matter what. Charles just wants them to be a good example of mutants so humans will accept them.

Overall parenting style: Charles is the one to encourage them to try something and then be the support when they fail or the support when things in their life go horribly wrong. Erik kind of performs the same support role, but without the comfort. The kids know that Erik will come to their rescue if they need it.

Nezumi/Shion

How many kids?: One, the one that Shion saved during that one attack.

Who’s the strict one?: Nezumi. He's always reminding the kid about how they have to be careful and how they can't be wasteful because you never know when food will be available. And, most importantly, how they can never trust governments that get too powerful.

Who lets them get away with everything?: Shion. He's just busy trying to rebuild No. 6 and work out things with the Western District. So he's not around much and, when he his, he's exhausted from the day. Also, Shion's mother is a culprit of letting the kid get away with everything, because she likes to dote on him.

Was either one reluctant to be a parent?: Nezumi because of his issues about getting too close to people, and he nearly lost Shion that one time and his family when he was young. He doesn't want to get close to anyone else and then lose them.

Family Traditions?: Shion is trying to make them but Nezumi isn't too sure about making this permanent.

Any requirements of the kids? (bring honor to the family, get married and have lots of kids, etc): Nezumi expects them to have a love a books and be able to read from Shakespeare far better than Shion can. Shion just wants them to do their best.

Overall parenting style: Nezumi is kind of the tough love kid of guy. He's not going to obviously show his love, mostly because he's scare about what will happen in the future. Shion is the one who will show his love to the kid. Despite that, Nezumi is the one that teaches the kid some of the most important lessons.

John/Sherlock

How many kids?: Honestly, I can't see either of them having kids. I can see John being an awesome uncle. Sherlock wouldn't want a kid, I don't think and their lifestyle doesn't exactly lend itself to children.

Who’s the strict one?: It would depend on the circumstances. The little everyday things, like manners, John would be strict about because part of him doesn't want the kid to end up like Sherlock (the whole shunned by most people thing). Sherlock would demand that the kid be very observant.

Who lets them get away with everything?: Once again, it depends. Although I see Sherlock being the one to let the kid get away with more things, although those would be social interactions, which John would get on him for.

Was either one reluctant to be a parent?: Probably Sherlock, because having a child would not only eat into his time on the case and be a distraction, but it would also take some of John's attention.

Family Traditions?: Solving crime? Getting Sherlock out of trouble? Enjoying annoying Lestrade?

Any requirements of the kids? (bring honor to the family, get married and have lots of kids, etc): Sherlock expects the kid to become a consulting detective like him.

Overall parenting style: Sherlock telling the kid something and John either correcting the kid or just rolling his eyes.

Kanon/Schneizel (*is not obsessed*)

How many kids?: 1. In my headcanon for Kanon (since I don't know if there is actually canon about him and his home life) he grew up with siblings and now enjoys being an uncle when his schedule allows it. Schneizel just likes having someone to play chess with. The kid takes after Kanon a bit more than Schneizel (organized to a fault) and is named Phillip. He'll kill you if you call him Phil.

Who’s the strict one?: Kanon. Being Schneizel's aide (public and private) leaves him no time to deal with bullshit.

Who lets them get away with everything?: Schneizel because he usually has something else to do than to watch one small kid.

Was either one reluctant to be a parent?: Probably Schneizel because of the whole Britannian royal family mess of a situation. Then again, Schneizel was probably always expected to have a kid because (aside from Lelouch) he seemed to be the only competent prince in his father's eyes. 

Family Traditions?: Chess. Visiting the graves of Euphemia and Lelouch. Helping Zero out.

Any requirements of the kids? (bring honor to the family, get married and have lots of kids, etc): That they will serve Zero and the empire, which would probably lead to creative ways to do both at the same time. Schneizel is probably setting the kid up to become prime minister of Britannia, but also aiming for the throne since Nunnally doesn't have any children and adores all of her nieces and nephews.

Overall parenting style: Kanon is very much the hands on parent, telling the kid what to do and how to do things properly. Schneizel just lets the kid watch and form his own conclusions. By the nature of their positions in Britannia, they can't keep him out of politics, so they're making sure he can maneuver through all the political junk so he'll survive the royal family.

We would cosplay the fuck out of everything.

Aside from that, we would probably just be goofy for our entire lives. I would depend on you for most of our income because you have a 'better' major than I do, but I would have fun essentially being Indiana Jones out in the field. I'm sorry for the repeat, but having two horses named Cap and Tony is not up for negotiation. You can still ride them though. :D

In our free time we would go to conventions (secretly we are professonal cosplayers) or just go around town being dorks. On Fridays we made additions to our lego empire and possibly try to steal bits of the other person's empire. The battles will be legendary.

You would still be my trusty beta reader, although I will probably have move to writing original fiction by now. But I will still have to apologize for hurting the characters you love by writing Schneizel and Kanon stories, because it is the only way you will forgive me.
