I didn't think about scolipede and Espeon tbh... I liked the idea of Alhaitham having, like, a good team to fight humans and one on one fights, and some others that are left from his family, like a hatterene who HATES Kaveh because emotions, or an old Absol who barks at the forest rangers when a witering zone is about to appear, or him having a roserade who everyone thinks he caught as a roselia, but he had since it was a budew, etc.

Yoooo honestly when I started jotting down stuff for this AU it's cause some vague ideas popped up in my head for certain pokemon I'm at least familiar with or scenarios I thought would be really funny to write (Klefki).
I feel like there's so much Pokemon that it's sometimes hard for me to decide on what Pokemon fit a character best akdjekdn that's why I invite others to share what they might think. I honestly really like the Hatterene one LOL
My take with Alhaitham's pokemon (I haven't thought of a full team or anything) is based off of the "feeble scholar" thing. So his team is very unassuming because he's not a trainer who actively battles but he's really good with pokemon battling and can absolutely destroy lmaoo. I do like the take on having Pokemon from his family, like with his grandma's treecko. After his parent's passing their pokemon go to his grandmother, then to him later on. For sure love the idea how close knit he'd be with his Pokemon and how he cares about them a lot (kinda humorous in comparison to how he outwardly treats other people. Kaveh's line of "He knows how to act around others he just doesn't care" jakdjdlla)
Ahdhdhhd I'm ranting LOL Pokemon AUs are so fun but GAD there as so many pokemon the scenarios are endless.
