The more I travel the more I see that when it comes down to the bottom line, when we are naked and vulnerable, stripped down, we all have the same essential fears and doubts. We all are lost souls meandering this planet, consciously or unintentionally searching for a purpose, values to live by, and ways to cope with the environment we were born into. Mainly this environment shapes us to become different individuals. Nevertheless, we still are all human.
Some find their purpose in religions, devoting their lives to their Gods, others in creating a lasting impact, some in their professions, and some search their whole life for their true selves. There are so many ways in which we try to find a way to understand what we are doing here on this blue planet, more or less aware of our privileges.
In my opinion, we do not have the right to judge other’s coping mechanisms; after all we are in the same boat, adrift on the sea of life.
Why can’t we start to take each other’s hands, be beacons in the huddle of this existence, start to regard our knowledge and experiences as means to support each other?
A rowboat, after all, is only able to move forward when each individual is aware of the strengths and weaknesses of the occupants, and force equilibrium exists.
