Last Fall my friends and I were tossing around the idea of a game called Elvis Saves the World, a game meant to feature the terrible people and conditions propped up by the music industry. The plot would begin on the day of Elvis' death, as he dies on the toilet. He would shit himself so hard that he would go forward in time to a world without his death, where the music industry promotes the arts without idolizing artists who were bad people. He realizes he needs to get back to his death so that he is remembered as a good person instead of a bad person who wrote good music, so he travels through the world fighting the separated versions of musical artists, as well as recruiting some of the evil people from the music industry along the way. Some of the artists we wanted to include were Anton Webern, the Sex Pistols, Elvis himself, and Chuck Barry. We planned for a very wide cast of characters. This would have been one of the themes for Kurt Cobain, who initially was going to have a very prominent role but eventually took a backseat to a lot of worse people.
