The spring that Dan lost his mind, Brighton was unseasonably warm. It was March, and yet the skies were clear and tourists flocked to the pier like ants to sugar. Dan was filled with the stress of his final university year, a dissertation he was dragging himself through, and a sense of dread that dogged him, robbing him of sleep and eating away at his thoughts. He had no time to appreciate the clement weather, holed up as he was in the vaulted rooms of the university library, pouring over creased copies of books with text so small and dense his eyes ached from squinting, or else lying in bed plagued with a constant litany of self-doubt and fear.

That time I tried my hand at dark academia. There was murder, there was suspense, there was an unreliable as fuck narrator and there were about three thousand words before I gave up.

my favorite activity now that i just started reading the secluded glade is searching for the forms in which adra shifts and inmediatly aw at the pictures :D (i'm loving it so far btw!

awww :’) yeah I overwhelmed myself with cuteness so many times while writing Adra tbh. Phil just deserves a cuddly little animal to snuggle whenever he wants (and to bite him just a bit when he’s being obnoxious) and it was so fun thinking up new animals to represent different moods/fit with different scenes.
