Etcetera Headcanon.
The reason Etcetera isn’t seen much beyond the 90s productions is that shortly after the ball she was adopted by a family with a little girl who she adored.
A few months later the family was planing to move to America and intended to take Etcetera with them. Etcetera didn’t know what to do. cats would sometimes leave with their humans and they would sometimes stay. Etcetera loved the junkyard and the tribe. they were her family. but she couldn’t imagine living without that little girl. Eventually Old Deuteronomy sat her down and helped her come to a decision.
She would leave with the humans.
but before she did they would have a surprise going away party. it was just like the recent ball but all the songs were about Etcetera. at the very end of the night she was presented with a gift by Mistoffelees. a collar with a hot pink bell. the bell was magically linked with another he had hung in the yard. if she rung the bell the other would ring and if she rung it on the night of the Jellicle Moon she would be able to hear the songs and join in.
That night Etcetera said her goodbyes to the tribe and left the junkyard for the last time.
Though she was gone she was not forgotten.
Before his song every year Tugger would tap the bell for good luck. He would always swear he heard a familiar kitten singing along.
