Despite the fact he sees himself as the closest being to being a ‘god’ of any regard; Epiales CRAVES validation, love and praise from everyone around him, especially those who are the closest around him.

This is mostly due to the remnants of his vessel’s (‘Passive Nightmare’) memories and feelings, having been shunned as a child that were only intensified by

THE DARKENING

He also finds himself both seeing people as their complex selves and also as their most flanderised caricatures at the same time.

These flanderised versions often show themselves in Epiales’ occasional episode where he often manifests these distorted and (mostly) one-dimensional versions of people. (What you’ve been seeing so far)

These episodes don’t come often, but it’s obvious when they do because Epiales will either start interacting with the real people as if they’re these manifestations or will, well, hallucinate them seperate from their counterpart.

It’s often pretty dangerous to interact w/ Epiales while he’s in that state, because he’ll get visibly distressed and frustrated if the real counterparts begin to interact with him.

Especially when he’s hallucinating.

Once, while he was having an episode, a Plutus and Avernus had decided to try and help Epiales through the episode despite Mors’ warnings,

They needed to be replaced soon after.
