Body lay low to the ground, limbs crafted her into a coiled  position as the blonde braced herself to pounce. Fingers  already soaked in the crimson taint of the human’s blood that  lay twitching at her side. He had interrupted her feed, and with  such an unfamiliar scent swirling around him, aggression was  the best solution.  A low snarl rumbled from the back of her throat.

Lily stared at the rubble in front of her and sighed. “You’re not wrong,” she considered. “But I certainly wasn’t trying to blast a wall apart.” Now the Death Eaters would know exactly where she was. Hopefully there weren’t too many of them in the area. The last thing she needed was to suddenly face ten of them on her otherwise covert patrol of Diagon Alley.
