Can you come online tonight? It's kind of important. The moment he had been asked that of Eugeo, Kirito had been pretty worried. Because the look on his face told him that it was something serious, especially considering he did literally day it was important. "Yeah, sure." Kirito of course agreed. He didn't like to think of himself as a panicking type, but at the same time he couldn't help but feel all the worst case scenarios come into his head, as he was putting on his headset to log into Alfheim online.

What if he wanted to break up? Him and Eugeo had been dating for roughly a year and a half, after having met originally in the Underworld a few years ago. It was only a year and a half ago did they decide they wanted to take their friendship to the next level. He remembered one of Eugeo's fears had been ruining what they already had... What if he was still having those doubts?

"Link start!" Kirito murmured, as he was logging himself into the game. He just had to calm down. Maybe it wasn't as bad as he thought it was. Maybe he was just overthinking. It was fine. He of course arrived in the wooden cabin, everyone's usual meetup spot in their friendship group whenever they logged into this world... When Kirito opened his eyes, he was sitting in a chair in the corner, in casual clothing... You'd think he was still in the real world if it wasn't for the pointy ears. And sure enough, Eugeo was already here, sitting alone and anxiously on one of the couches. Kirito nervously smiled. "I'm here. You wanted to talk?"

"Mhm." Eugeo nodded, as he stood up from the couch with a weak smile himself. Kirito got up from his chair, as he walked towards the blonde with curiosity. They were both quiet. What was going on?

"So, what is it? What did you want to say?" Kirito wondered, only to raise his eyebrows when without a word, Eugeo was grabbing hold of one of his hands to lead him towards the door, out into the snow. It admittedly felt colder without all his gear on... But he could put up with it for now, as they stopped off of the decking, and into the thick snow beneath their feet.

"I've always thought this place has a nice view when you invited me here for the first time." Eugeo hummed. You could see all the stars from here... The lake, the trees... It had such a nice smell. Such a beautiful look, in both the winter and the summertime. He glanced towards Kirito. "I know how much the virtual world means to you. That it's really important to you." Eugeo smiled. "After all if it wasn't for your love of the virtual world I don't know if we ever would have met." Eugeo hadn't originally come from the real world like Kirito. But like Alice, he was brought in from the Underworld... Able to live out life in the real world, like a normal person... He wouldn't change it.

"W-Well... Yeah... Of course it's important to me. B-But, uh... You're important to me too, you know?" Kirito shyly pointed out, as he couldn't help but blush at such a sappy comment. Even Eugeo blushed a little himself, as his smile widened.

"I know. I'm sorry, I'm rambling." Eugeo sighed, as he turned back to the raven haired boy, who was clearly still very confused as to why he was brought here by the blonde. But he wouldn't be confused for much longer. Slowly, as Eugeo took one of his hands back into his own, the dark haired boy was completely taken off guard as... As Eugeo was getting down on one knee! Wait... Wait, wait, wait... Was this... Was he?! Kirito knew he must have looked shocked right now, because his eyes were as wide as saucers. His mouth hung agape like he was trying to catch flies. He didn't know what to say! Not that he needed to speak right now, because Eugeo wasn't finished.

"I... I wanted to ask you this here - in the virtual world... Because of how much you love it here... And I... Wanted you to remember it." Eugeo sheepishly murmured. "But... Kirito, will you marry me?"

He had not expected this. When Eugeo came to him saying he needed to talk, he expected bad news. He expected a serious talk. Not for his boyfriend to get down on one knee and propose to him! It was almost impossible for tears not to start brewing in the corners of his dark eyes, as he could hardly contain his joyful, tearful smile. He nodded. "Of course... Yeah, I will marry you, Eugeo." He nodded happily, which immediately made Eugeo's smile expand as wide as it could go. The blonde stood from his knee, so he could lovingly press his lips to the other boy's in a soft, tender kiss... They held each other close, not even seeming to care about the coldness of the snow anymore... Eventually, Eugeo quietly pulled away.

"I, um... Do actually have a ring for you... That I can give to you in the real world." Eugeo shyly murmured, as he stared into Kirito's eyes. The black swordsman tearfully laughed.

"I know..." Kirito hummed. "...I love you, Eugeo. Thank you for this." It had honestly really made his year. The blondie giggled, as the black swordsman was lightly nuzzling their noses together. He hummed.

"Of course, Kirito... I love you too." Eugeo sighed, as he put his hands up to his cheeks. "There's no one else who I would want to marry. It was clear, when we met in that forest that day, it truly was fate." He whispered. Kirito smiled.

Yeah, it was fate.

So had the idea of how Eugeo or Kirito would propose to each other. I imagined Kirito would try and be the spontaneous type, but being the awkward guy that he is, it always gets messed up and Eugeo starts to get suspicious of him, to the point that Kirito kind of has to just eventually propose to him not as spontaneous as he hoped, but Eugeo doesn't mind cause he doesn't mind simplicity.

And I imagined Eugeo would propose to Kirito in the virtual world, just because he knows how much the virtual world means to Kirito.

One day, a customer around his age comes to the flowershop, looking for a bucket of blue forget-me-not. Kirito smiles as he recognizes that old, familiar face.
