Hyper Knife gave us an actually interesting plot with good acting, and kdrama nerds couldn't accept it because their brains have been bewitched by the average mediocre Korean soap opera with bad lighting and even worse writing.

I'm perplexed by the people who wanted the two main characters to smash. They're very clearly meant to be in a pseudo parent-child relationship.

Could've done with more female characters, you know, maybe let them talk to each other for at least one scene.

Also, that man who's always following Se-ok around while blurting out incriminating information in public should've been either nixed altogether, or made into a much less annoying second female lead. He added almost nothing to the plot imo.

Still, I'd give it a 7.5/10. There's a lot to digest and ruminate on about this show, and I disagree with people who found that it wasn't engaging. I think a lot of people went in with the expectation of seeing an American Psycho-esque bloodbath, and instead found themselves watching a story about a father who can't help but bully his daughter because he sees so much of himself in her, and a daughter who hates him but also desperately wants his approval.

Park Eun-bin as the MC is and always will be beatuful and talented, and if they weren't such cowards they would've made her a Sapphic woman. Look at how she dresses. She has definitely thought about exploring another woman's body before.

Loved seeing Se-ok kill people. Personally, I think Jung Se-ok was more relatable than Attorney Woo as an Autistic person. She may have to check under her cushions for spare change because her debit and credit cards keep being declined at the local dollar store, but you know what will always clear on the first swipe? That face card.
