Y/N never saw Fez cry. They have seen him emotional, holding back words, and even himself because he knew it wouldn't be worth the trouble. Of course, with Nate that was an exception. He was generally composed, he had to be ever since he was a kid. Ash texted Y/N a few minutes after Fez slammed the door on Rue, it took a lot to faze the younger but seeing his brother having to physically throw his friend out of their house, shocked him. Y/N was at home at the time, but as soon as the text appeared, they practically ran to the car.
Ash opened the door, with a serious look on his face. The younger stepped back letting them enter. Y/N greeted him with a sad smile, and in response he nodded to the direction of the hallway. Understanding what he meant, they began walking towards Fez's room.
As if walking on eggshells, their heart was pumping strongly and their palms were beginning to get sweaty. They knocked before entering and Fez didn't object, probably thinking it would be just Ash.
When he noticed it was them, his eyes filled with unshed tears. "Talk to me" they whispered into the room.
Y/N was incredibly sad after hearing what had transpired. Rue was their friend, they loved her and seeing that she was on a rampage, clearly losing herself in drugs was horrifying. Their hands were intertwined, as they listened to Fez's words and the raw emotions along with it. It broke their heart.
After what it was undoubtedly, an exhausting couple of hours, Fez and Y/N laid down on his bed. With Fez needing some comfort and Y/N more than ready to provide it, he placed his head on their chest, holding their waist tightly. They kissed his head while whispering sweet nothings, making him feel safe. Fez fell asleep first, and Y/N covered his body with a warm blanket. They closed their eyes, hands still caressing his back, soothingly. Right before giving in to sleep, they kissed his forehead, silently promising him he'll never have to cry alone again.
