On one of their student excursions, education majors stopped by the Colosseum in Rome, Italy.

Education majors traveled the city of London, England, while on one of their many student excursions during the European Practicum.

Students on the European Practicum toured the Londan Eye, an observation wheel in the United Kingdom.

Education majors visit Bradford, England

One of stops the education students went to while spending two weeks on the European Practicum was an adventure playground in Bradford, England. 

At this adventure playground, “The Big Swing,” they have a swing called The Big Swing and offers many other activities for children to participate in. 

"This was a place where children can go to after school everyday and express themselves with the various activities they can do. For example, they can paint, cook, climb things, build things, make fires, swing on The Big Swing, and many other creative things,” Cait Brickey, early childhood education major.  

“Children need to be able to express themselves and teachers should find ways their students can do so in their classrooms. By coming here, we were able to get ideas of what we can do in our classrooms to be able to allow children to express themselves” continued Brickey. 

“This was the most amazing experience ever. The professors, Dr Patte and Dr. Terwillinger who ran the trip ensured that we were able to understand the education system within Europe. I learned so much about teaching and gained so many ideas to help my future students find their creative outlet. I would do it all over again if I could. 10/10 recommend to any education major!” - Cait Brickey.

One of the many student excursions the education majors were able to take while on the European Practicum was a visit to the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France.

Education majors on the European Practicum dived in the variety of cuisine Europe has to offer.

Students on the European Practicum visited York Minster in the United Kingdom on one of their many student excursions.
