Euscorpius alpha, found in southern Switzerland and nothern Italy. Likes to hide in humid areas, under stones, bricks, logs, and under your towel in the bathroom! 😂 Seriously, I see them quite a bit, but after nearly 25 years in Italy am happy to report I have never been stung. I have heard it hurts less than a wasp sting, but hope not to find out. When we were clearing out the barn at the castle of Galeazza, we saw many scorpions. Poor Antonia Solari was terrified of them. She let out the biggest scream of her life when she found a huge one in some rubble. The SCORPION!!!
