iirc you haven't played gbf itself so i'd like to add to the eustace talk that if he completely unleashes flamek's power (which is dead-end fall), then he actually outpowers all the others, being able to take down a massive automagod that the others could just barely delay

I never played the older games until Fantasy Versus came about.

As a Erune, of course I’d believe it since it’s been officially told that Erunes are magically gifted, meaning they are more capable of magic than humans or Draphs. 

In terms of magical power and technique, of course Eustance would outclass the other members of society in that aspect. 

However, Vaseraga is still a Draph and his body is heavily augmented to such a degree, it is ridiculous. He is still physically superior than Eustance in stamina, endurance, and strength. 

That’s why I say Vaseraga has the advantage if he and Eustance fought a prolonged battle. But if Eustance can play his cards right and think a step ahead, then he’ll definitely be able to take down the latter before things get from bad to worse. 

It’s not on power levels, it’s more or less based on strengths and weaknesses.

Who is Eustance in Granblue?

Eustance is a member of the Society, the group that Zeta and Vaseraga work as agents that protect the skies and hunt Primal Beasts with Sealed Weapons. 

He seems very strict and dedicated to his work for the Society, not to mention, he is very perceptive of his opponent’s fighting styles, so Eustance is definitely the type to be approach his fights more cautiously and with immense care. At best, he is likely the most logical and rational one of the group.

Today’s vegetarian is: Courage the Cowardly Dog

First things first, I’m calling it now. They’re going to reboot this and make it shit. These are the words of the prophet.

Second, Courage has anxiety, anxious boys become hungry boys very fast. And what’s the best thing in the whole world to munch? MOTHERFUCKING VEGGIE STRAWS AND CHEESE! Truly there is no better diet in the world for the carnivorous canine.

Rest

Note: So this is my experiment of Eustance’s adventures as i have been wanting to do him for some time which is darker and not so cheerful as the rest which I usually do. I have been binging on Inuyasha Final act recently and I love the premise of that particular episode on the village turn creepy. So I tried to translate it to make it my own to show Eustance being kinda vulnerable and going NOPE I did not sign up for this sh*t

Eustace’s feet went ever so weary as he trekked his journey in that strange land-no money,little men complaining about his terrible leadership. His heart went heavy as the shackles in his heart. He yearns for days and nights for a comfortable bed and at most a decent meal,nothing too exotic like Arcona’s famous feasts but the taste of bread seems fresher and fresher for hungering souls. 

However there is that lingering smell in the air. It smelt so comforting and gentle. Eustance’s feet become lighter at every step,there he glanced at one of the villagers-she seems prettier than all of the stained glasses of the stands “You must be weary dear traveler-“ 

Eustance barely glanced at her “yes you could say that. A bed would be nice“,he spoke dryly,it spurred something pure in heart “Come I must bring you to my village,you will get the rest you deserved-“ Sounds like an alluring treat for his men to lift their weary spirits,as they walked by. A heady smell of flowers hit them by the nostrils. Eustace shivered a bit as he made his passage to that tranquil village. The aroma of the flowers grew header and for once moment the pollen seems to riot the cascading airs. Flower beds of many rioting colors and tones even more vibrant that the dyes of the perfumed expanse. It seems he entered through a children’s painted book,as he could see each villager in deep peace doing their daily activities. He tried to cover his mouth,blocking the smell but it entranced him to the point he has a nose bleed. A drop of blood sizzled through the floor and what he glanced is a human-like figure smiling. His mouth went dry “what the hell is that-“ 

The villager gave a smile “Tranquility-“ as she looked at the rioting skies matching the enticing village “An oasis of the calm-“. The hum of tunes seems to add that ethereal village watching them pluck the flowers gently ‘you seem weary-“ 

“Huh-“ In the winds came along an effeminate voice. It thralled through the winds as he came out from the beautiful gardens “My beloved,what do we have in here-“ Eustace’s heart froze slightly at that pitch,exhaustion crippled him like the cloaks and hunger becoming its shoes. Perfect for a hungering Lord,but Eustace did not know his darkness as he is ravishingly handsome with her perfectly parted lips and wispy hair. It seems he is enchanted by the gods on that deadly beauty. “A weary stranger Lord Briar-“ “Shelter him then-“ as the Lord commanded them,the smell of the flowers grew lesser and lesser “Lord Briar’s service must be spread through the valleys like the flowers we bloom-“ 

“Yes master-“as the villager dragged the weary body “You are from the Stands stranger-“ the aromas seems to lessen and lessen at every moment,as he glanced at the villager smiling in bliss. “Yes I am-“ “is it beautiful-“ 

“Yes indeed-“ Eustace has that weariness in his voice,and for one moment he glanced at his room,it has the warm smell that is oh so familiar. “Your room dear stranger have a restful night-“ 

“With great thanks miss-“ as she slowly slumped himself to the bed,the aromas seems to grow heavier and heavier. Eustace crept a small smile as he awoke to see his mother welcoming him home from the long voyages and for one moment he glanced on Uther,free from his mortal wounds accepting his brother with a handshake “You will do great things brother-“ 

For one imminent he thought it could be real however there is that effeminate man glanced at Eustace,he could sense exhaustion in his eyes. He must traveled back and forth to reach a perfect paradise like his. “A stranger who is weary of the world,he needs solace amidst the pain and sorrow-“,he seems to be poetic in his gaze which proves alluring to him. “ nd you my dear stranger be free from pain-“ Eustace could feel droplets of blood trickling in his eyes and Briar taking his handkerchief and dabbing it gently from his eyes as he woke up from that dream  “Is it comfortable for you-" 

“Greatly appreciated my Lord Briar for your hospitality-“ Briar pursed his lips “Good,I am glad you love our village,we strive for peace and harmony amidst a chaotic world,please never leave us-“,and like the flower he dispels his sweet aromas to Eustace,leaving him to a deep slumber “After all come to ye who are weary and I shall give you rest-“ Tears of blood stained his bed and slowly vines encapsulated him. He dreamt of home,and Lord Briar watching over him fondly like a mother to a newborn baby. Lord Briar haunted the mind of Eustace with the dreams of the strange village but his bodily matters fought over his mind and slowly he drifted off to a beautiful sleep. He never felt peace in his heart for a long time,since that escape on that island but for Briar as he cruelly smiled at Eustace. He makes a perfect meal for his hungering soul.

100 word Prompts-Mist

Note: So doing some 100 word prompts from @teashopwriting ,so this is a little Narnian based in which in they enter an island,which is mega creepy with deluding mists which he could see what you wanted and I have fun writing how badass Eustace is :D

His eyes seems weary many nights,he tossed and turned and awake nights,perhaps the Icurians curse seems so damn true, as Phillipi shouted loudly-"we are damned we are-“,as he heard of that crash,his little deck all the verdigris mist makes it hard for Eustace to glance by at the deluding lands,he could glance at the cold stones of the stands “Do not doubt my friend,have courage we could do it-“,as Eustace tried to cling up,though he is treated as the passenger of the ship but he could stay by the sidelines “What is it my good fellow-“,a Dalonetense lady came in,her gestures still amidst the breaking wind “Captain,brace yourselves-this area near the Tristin Ports and over the dale of the Drowned Maidens,some said that it would delude you-" 

Eustance has that cocky smirk “Nah,I do not believe in that,all it is just fantasy-“,Phillipi’s eyes wild as the deer frightened by the wolf “Do not not dimes tales like that-“ as he could see the wild forces,scepters of darkness,they seems so alluring with that old song from the Icurains which make him even more frightened. 

As he glanced on the beautiful men and women at the edge of the ship that grew ,he was smitten by the reddening of the lips and the slow hymns of that ghostly young man-he has beautiful features and singing of his childhood songs about the piper of ,he could nearly be drifted to the lands,it seems to be bathed in that ghostly green light,his home seems so comforting-the balmy summers which he adored,the beaming of his parents,he could hear the whispering voice of his sister “Come back to us-“,he seems enthralled by the beautiful servants,it seems fresh,somehow he saw of the healing lands of Midva, 

Icurians always yearn for the lands when they die for being in the cold seas,are neither wake nor dead,however he knows as he slowly embraced the young man,his lips drawn to his,but he tried to stay awake,he is dreaming,his eyes grew wild in awe as he continued to embraced that effeminate man,he thought of the lands he must discover,with that dagger,he slowly cut through the scepters for he is stronger than the damming mists. Somehow he is now wide awake,he must think quickly,for he could see the corspes and bones of the ships all sunk-all because of the illusions created by the mists

"Hang in there-“-Eustace yelled loudly as he tried to embrace the fleet “We cannot lose-“,he must think quickly for its mists exudes a seducing aroma of flowers and spices that could even rival the perfumed expanse,he quickly off his shirt “Cover your eyes with that-“,as he quickly used the scraps of cloth to blind their eyes “STAY FOCUSED-THINK ABOUT THE JOURNEY HOME-“,there Eustace embraced himself for the mist for it would be many days and night until they could get out of the woods as he tied the blindfold in his eyes,not to be seduced by death itself.

Eustace’s wanderings-The use of The Dagger

Note: So there I have an idea of Hugh Dancy as Eustace (Drago’s grandpa),so here is him with his adventures which incorporate the history of the Tristin ports :D

Eustace’s hands trembled quietly,as he brought that gift,going to the Tristin ports. He knows of the dangers around that area,though kingdoms of decades tried to conquer the cove,it was called the harbinger for reasons,many Traders often went missing some say it was the sea of the drowned maidens that brought them to their knees. Some said it was pirates who hid by,like hungry preys,looking through victims all helpless in the cliffs of deaths. 

Seems his ship was unlucky as he saw a effeminate face coming down from his ship-"my he is a handsome boy-",Eustace shivered quietly,there he hesitantly took out the dagger,it shone amidst the chipped wooden ships,”Stay back,if you come nearer-‘,he tried to blurt something to defer him away from that man, the pirate trembled quietly at the glance of it "by the Gods,that gentle man has the dagger-“,one shouted “Do not believe in that,it is nothing but delusions-“, Eustace tried to calm himself,as he trembled on that dagger,he tried to recall the words of the strange man,it seems so vague and frightening. 

Somehow the pirate grow wilder,as he show his cutlass,nearing his throat,he made that small cut,and slowly blood dripped down the face,it slowly sizzled quietly but however he saw of the man choking,his eyes widened,this dagger seems of his luck and if not fate that he was given,Eustace has that slow smirk “Listen here I have a cure if you let me free-“,as he gave that quick gesture. One blurted out quietly,in hesitation on the cocky merchant"Are you sure,it is nothing but poppycock-“ Eustace has that smirk “I will-“,but inside his heart-he is fearful of the unknown and the darkness,as the seas grew wilder at each word.
